ROLLING BEARING, ROTATING DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ROLLING BEARING
Provided is a rolling bearing that can both ensure durability and reduce rotational resistance. The rolling bearing includes a seal member that is mounted on an outer ring and that covers a space between an inner ring and the outer ring from an outer side in an axial direction, and grease disposed between a rolling element and the seal member. The seal member includes an annular pedestal portion in contact with the outer ring from an outer side in the axial direction, an extending portion that extends outward in the axial direction from an inner peripheral edge of the pedestal portion, and a flat surface portion that extends along a radial direction from an end edge of the extending portion on an outer side in the axial direction toward the inner ring. The grease includes an outer ring contact portion in contact with an inner peripheral surface of the outer ring, and a seal member contact portion in contact with the flat surface portion on an outer side in the axial direction and an inner ring side with respect to the outer ring contact portion. An area of the seal member contact portion is larger than a contact area between the grease and the extending portion as well as the pedestal portion of the seal member.
Rolling bearing
A rolling bearing includes an outer bearing race and an inner bearing race defining a bearing space therebetween. Rolling elements are mounted in the bearing space. A seal device is at one axial opening of the bearing space and includes a metal ring member with through holes configured such that lubricating oil can pass through the through holes and solid foreign substances cannot pass through the through holes. One of the outer bearing race and the inner bearing race is stationary, and the other is rotatable. The metal ring member is in engagement with the stationary bearing race. A metal or resin sub-ring member, which is a separate member from the metal ring member, is fixed to the rotatable bearing race. Between the metal ring member and the metal or resin sub-ring member, a gap is defined which constitutes a labyrinth seal structure.
BEARING RING
A bearing ring for a rolling-element bearing including an axially extending outer surface, two radially extending side surfaces, an inner surface configured to at least partially contact a rolling element and at least one radially extending recess in the inner surface that is configured to work together with a lifting tool to allow the bearing ring to be lifted by the lifting tool. Also a method of lifting a bearing ring having such a recess.
Bearing for a Medical or Cosmetic Instrument
The disclosure relates to a rolling bearing for a medical or cosmetic instrument having a bearing inner ring revolving around an axis of rotation and a stationary bearing outer ring, which concentrically encloses the bearing inner ring; wherein in the radial direction to the axis of rotation, a bearing gap is formed between the bearing inner ring and the bearing outer ring and a plurality of rolling bodies is arranged in succession in the circumferential direction in the bearing gap, via which the bearing inner ring is mounted in the bearing outer ring; wherein the rolling bodies are arranged rolling on the bearing inner ring and the bearing outer ring and have a rolling body height in the radial direction; and the bearing gap is covered in the axial direction by a cover disk, which is fastened on the bearing outer ring or on a housing accommodating the bearing outer ring or is integrally formed with the housing or the bearing outer ring, and which jointly with the bearing inner ring forms a radial gap extending in the axial direction with a gap length, which gap has a gap height in the radial direction.
The rolling bearing according to the invention disclosure is characterized in that the gap length is at least 25% of the rolling body height.
Bearing unit with optimized anchoring of the sealing device
A bearing unit having a radially outer ring, a radially inner ring, a row of rolling elements interposed between the outer ring and the inner ring, a shaped sealing screen interposed between the inner ring and the outer ring and stably inserted inside a first seat of the outer ring, and a snap ring stably inserted inside a second seat of the radially outer ring and interacting with the shaped screen so as to lock it in the first seat.
Small cross-section bearing unit
Small cross-section bearing unit having a flanged outer ring, an inner ring coaxial with the outer ring and an axis of rotation, a plurality of rolling elements arranged between the inner ring and the outer ring so as to allow the relative rotation thereof about the axis, and a sealing device for preventing the entry of contaminants and, at the same, time, for preventing the leakage of a lubricating grease from the inside of the bearing unit; the sealing device being provided, on each side of the bearing unit, with a shaped sealing screen that is supported rotatably about the axis by the outer ring, and a labyrinth seal extending along a respective complex winding path defined by an associated sealing screen and by the inner ring.
Hub bearing unit with combination displacement limiter and seal
A hub bearing unit includes an inner ring having inboard and outboard axial ends and a bearing inner race on an outer surface. An outer ring disposed about the inner ring has inboard and outboard axial ends and a bearing outer race on an inner surface. One ring is coupled with a wheel and rotatable about an axis and the other ring is fixedly coupled with a frame. An annular displacement limiter extends radially from one ring and has a circumferential stop surface spaced radially from a surface of the other ring. The stop surface engages with the ring surface when the ring displaces radially relative to the other ring. A seal includes an annular sealing member coupled with one ring and is sealingly engageable with the limiter or is mounted on the limiter and sealingly engageable with one ring or a rigid seal member coupled with one ring.
Rotary seal
A radial gap between an outer circumferential surface of an encoder member joined to an outward flange portion of a slinger and an inner circumferential surface of a seal body includes a first gap portion and a second gap portion closer to an inward flange portion of a core metal than the first gap portion is. The outer circumferential surface that defines the first gap portion is a cylindrical outer circumferential surface, and the radial gap in the first gap portion is substantially constant in an axial direction. The outer circumferential surface that defines the second gap portion is a conical outer circumferential surface reduced in diameter as approaching the inward flange portion of the core metal in the axial direction, and the radial gap in the second gap portion is gradually increased as approaching the inward flange portion of the core metal in the axial direction.
