A parking mechanism that includes a wheel disc, a wedge disc, and a drive assembly. An axis of the wheel disc and an axis of the wedge disc both are aligned with an axis of a motor shaft. A wedge groove with an opening facing the wheel disc is formed on a surface of the wedge disc facing the wheel disc, and a movable part in contact with the wheel disc is disposed in the wedge groove. In a direction from a bottom of the wedge groove to the wheel disc, a groove depth at a first end of the wedge groove is greater than a size of the movable part, and a groove depth at a second end of the wedge groove is less than the size of the movable part. The parking mechanism can provide stepless variable parking force.

A locking clutch having an inner race that is rotatable with respect to an outer race. One of the races is cylindrically shaped and rotates adjacent to a race having valleys. Each valley is connected to an inclined surface. Rollers are located adjacent to the valleys. A cage having fingers may be restrained with respect to the valleys to set the starting position of the rollers. The cage may be selectively restrained to determine the direction in which the rollers are wedged to determine a direction that drives the rollers into contact with both races to lock the races with respect to each other. Rotation of the inner race with respect to the outer race in a direction opposite direction is a free rotating direction. The locking clutch is designed to simultaneously engage all of its rollers to evenly distribute the forces amongst them.

A silent hub structure includes a hub housing, an interlocking ring, a detent ring and a cassette base. The interlocking ring is installed inside the hub housing and has a central through-hole slot therein through which a detent ring is rotatably disposed therethrough. The through-hole slot is internally and circumferentially provided with a plurality of receiving grooves recessed at an equal distance therebetween on the internal wall. Each of these receiving grooves is disposed with a metal roller pin along the axial direction. The forward-rotating direction side of every receiving groove forms a clamping portion; a magnetic member is disposed in the interlocking ring near the clamping portion of each of the receiving groove separately, whereas the backward-rotating direction side of every receiving groove forms a releasing portion.

A race for a mechanical clutch assembly may be formed from multiple race layers that assembled from pluralities of stamped arcuate segments. First and second race layers may have the same shape when their arcuate segments are assembled are assembled. The arcuate segments of the first race layer may be identical to each other, and the arcuate segments of the second race layer may be identical to each other, but the first layer arcuate segments are not identical to the second layer arcuate segments. Interlocking joints between the first layer arcuate segments are not aligned with interlocking joints between the second layer arcuate segments when the race layers are joined together and aligned for use in the mechanical clutch assembly.

The present invention relates to a freewheel (2) having a first race (16), a second race (18), a clamping gap (20) formed between the first and second race (16, 18), at least one clamping element (30) in the clamping gap (20) and a pre-tensioning device (32) for pre-tensioning the clamping element (30) in a clamping position inside the clamping gap (20), wherein the pre-tensioning device (32) has a spring element (34) supported indirectly or directly on the first race (16). The pre-tensioning device (32) further has a spring support frame (36) that can be moved in relation to the first race (16), in which spring support frame the spring element (34) is arranged.

The spring element (64) has an elongate spring body (66), which extends in a radial plane and has a corrugated profile in the radial direction (20, 22). The present invention furthermore relates to a freewheel arrangement (2) having a freewheel (4) of this kind.

FREEWHEEL ASSEMBLY HAVING A DEEP-DRAWN FLANGE

A freewheel assembly includes a central axis of rotation, a single-piece flange formed by deep drawing, and a freewheel unit. The single-piece flange includes a sleeve portion, a disk portion protruding radially outward from the sleeve portion, and a centering collar. The disk portion includes a first end face and the centering collar is formed on the first end face. The freewheel unit includes an outer ring fastened to the sleeve portion by press fitting, and a plurality of rolling elements accommodated within the outer ring. The outer ring includes a plurality of clamping ramps, and each one of the plurality of rolling elements cooperates with a one of the plurality of clamping ramps.
