Caliper guide assembly

A caliper guide assembly having a guide pin, a guide bore, a cap, and a sensor arrangement. The guide bore is arranged to receive the guide pin. The cap may be secured to an open end of the guide bore proximate a free end of the guide pin. The sensor arrangement may include a first sensor component that is configured to provide an output indicative of relative axial displacement between a first sensor component and a second sensor component.

A brake for an aircraft includes a housing, a shaft defining an axis (X) and extending into the housing, a floating brake disk on the shaft, the brake disk fixed for rotation with the shaft and arranged to be axially movable within the housing, a static brake pad arranged on a first side of the floating brake disk, a movable brake pad arranged on a second, opposite, side of the floating brake disk and biasing means for moving the movable brake pad relative to the housing to press the movable brake pad against the floating brake disk. The biasing means press the floating brake disk against the static brake pad to apply braking force to the floating brake disk. The brake also includes a thermal fuse in thermal contact with the static brake pad. The thermal fuse has a fusing temperature, T, above which the thermal fuse fuses.

BRAKE ASSEMBLY

A brake assembly having a brake carrier, a caliper, first and second brake pads, a pad retraction spring, and a first stop surface. The pad retraction spring urges the first and second brake pads in a direction away from a rotor plane. A first supporting portion of the pad retraction spring is configured to abut the first stop surface to inhibit the pad retraction spring from entering a partially enclosed volume.

Aircraft landing gear assembly

An aircraft landing gear assembly comprising: an axle having an axis, a wheel rotatably mounted on the axle to rotate about the axis, a brake arranged to selectively exert a braking torque on the wheel about the axis, a brake anchor structure having a substantially fixed position relative to the axle, a brake reaction linkage that mechanically couples the brake to the brake anchor structure, and a sensor comprising a sensor element arranged to detect a change in one or more physical properties of a component of the brake reaction linkage in order to determine a stress in the component due to the braking torque, wherein the sensor element does not contact the component.

Disc-brake apparatus

A disc brake of a disc-brake apparatus includes an inner pad and an outer pad, a pressing device, and a housing. The pressing device includes: a first pressing member movable toward a rotation disc; a second pressing member movable away from the rotation disc; a frame; and an electric actuator that moves the first pressing member and the second pressing member. The electric actuator includes: a two-axis motor including a stator having coils and having a substantially cylindrical shape, an inner rotor, and an outer rotor; a first motion converter that converts rotation of the inner rotor to linear movement to transmit the linear movement to the first pressing member; and a second motion converter that converts rotation of the outer rotor to linear movement to transmit the linear movement to the second pressing member.

Oversized brake piston footing

A brake piston is described. The brake piston is configured for use in a disk brake system, the piston comprising: a body having an outside width perpendicular to a central axis; a footing disposed at a distal end of the piston; wherein the footing is configured to exert force on a brake pad during actuation of the disk brake system; the footing having a face configured to contact the brake pad, the face having a length and a width, wherein the length is longer than the outside width of the body, and the length is greater than the width.

In an in-wheel motor drive device, a speed reduction part is a parallel shaft gear reducer that includes a plurality of gear shafts extending in parallel to one another. One of the gear shafts is coupled with the rotation shaft of the motor part, the other one of the gear shafts is coupled with the wheel hub of the wheel hub bearing part. Remaining gear shafts decelerate the rotation of the motor part and transmit it to the wheel hub. The motor drive device includes a parking gear attached to any of the gear shafts. The parking pawl has a projection portion engaged with a recess portion of the parking gear. A movement member enables a parking pawl to move between a locking position engaged with the recess portion and an unlocking position not engaged therewith. The parking gear, the parking pawl, and movement member are housed inside a housing.
