A hydraulic vehicle brake includes a housing and first and second brake pistons at least partially located within the housing. The brake pistons are configured to cooperatively press a common friction pad against a rotor of the vehicle brake. Each of the pistons is a hollow piston including a substantially solid piston bottom. A clamp beam laterally spans the piston bottoms of the first and second pistons within the housing. The clamp beam is configured to selectively apply longitudinally directed clamping force upon the pistons. A spindle is selectively driven for rotational motion by an electric motor. The spindle is interposed laterally between the first and second brake pistons within the housing. The spindle is configured to reciprocate the clamp beam longitudinally within the housing responsive to a direction of the rotational motion.

APPARATUS FOR THERMAL INSULATION ON AN ACTUATING APPARATUS FOR DISK BRAKES

An apparatus for thermal insulation on an actuating apparatus, which can be loaded with a pressure medium, of a disk brake having a piston which slides in a cylinder for the axial displacement of the brake linings against a brake disk, in particular a partially lined disk brake having an insulation body made from non-thermally conducting/poorly thermally conducting material for the insulation of the components of the actuating apparatus with respect to a brake lining. It is possible for a substantially circularly annular, metallic brake lining to be inserted into an insulation body which is made from ceramic material and separates the piston from the brake lining in a thermally insulating manner. The insulation body is configured with side faces which adjoin the circularly annular brake contact face so as to run toward the annular circumferential face in a convexly rounded manner in the direction of the piston.

Pushing force-actuated braking device and rotary table using the same

A pushing force-actuated braking device includes an annular housing that houses a brake disc, a braking piston, plural braking elements, and a brake-releasing piston. When only the braking piston is under the action of a fluid, the braking piston applies an axial pushing force to the brake disc such that the brake disc is kept at a braking position jointly by the braking piston and the braking elements. When only the brake-releasing piston is under the action of a fluid, the brake-releasing piston applies an opposite pushing force to the brake disc to keep it at a brake-releasing position. Should the fluid acting on the braking piston fail, the force of the braking elements still enables the brake disc to produce a braking effect. The pushing force-actuated braking device has a modular design to facilitate assembly and disassembly. A rotary table using the braking device is also provided.

SIDE-BY-SIDE UTILITY VEHICLE

A utility vehicle includes a plurality of ground engaging members and a frame supported by the plurality of ground engaging members. The frame assembly extends generally along a longitudinal axis of the utility vehicle. The utility vehicle further includes a front seating section coupled to the frame. The front seating section is configured to support an operator and a first passenger. Additionally, the utility vehicle includes a rear seating section coupled to the frame. The rear seating section is configured to support a second passenger and a third passenger. The rear seating section has an angled panel configured as a dead pedal for the second and third passengers, and a portion of the rear seating section extends forwardly into the front seating section.

A fixed-caliper brake has a combined electromechanical/hydraulic force transmission, including a fixed caliper, a brake disc, a first brake piston device which is arranged on or in the brake caliper and is designed to directly or indirectly transmit a first pressure force to a first lateral face of the brake disc associated therewith by way of at least one brake piston, a second brake piston device which is arranged on or in the brake caliper and is designed to directly or indirectly transmit a second pressure force to a second lateral face of the brake disc associated therewith and opposite the first lateral face by way of at least one brake piston, and an electromechanical actuator which is arranged on or in the brake caliper and is configured to exert a force onto the first brake piston device and onto the second brake piston device, respectively, when actuated. The force is further transmitted by the particular brake piston device, at least proportionally, as the first or second pressure force, respectively, onto the particular associated lateral face of the brake disc. The electromechanical actuator and the second brake piston device are hydraulically coupled to one another to cause the exertion of force from the electromechanical actuator to the second brake piston device.

The present application relates to a piston assembly for engaging two selectively engageable parts. The piston assembly has a housing defining a piston cylinder and a piston. The assembly also has a piston stroke limiter. The piston stroke limiter is configured to limit the length of a return stroke of the piston from an extended stroke position and a retracted stroke position. A crushable body acts between the piston and the piston stroke limiter and is arranged to reduce in axial length when a length of an extended stroke exceeds a length of a retraction stroke to maintain the length of the return stroke.
