Disc Brake for a Utility Vehicle
A disc brake for a utility vehicle is provided. The brake caliper of the disk brake is configured to be mounted in an axially-displaceable manner on a stationary brake carrier by two fastening elements. The two fastening elements are plain bearings arranged in respective bores of the brake caliper, one as a locating bearing and the other as a floating bearing. The floating bearing includes a sliding bush made from a plastic, in particular an elastomer, and a guide rod configured to be connected to the brake carrier is mounted. The sliding bush is held on the guide rod secured against axial displacement between the guide rod and the inner wall of the respective brake caliper bore. The sliding bush is configured to carry a lubricant on its circumferentially outer surface and has sealing lips projects radially outward that bear against the inner wall of the respective bore.
BRAKE CALIPER FOR A DISK BRAKE SYSTEM
The application relates to a brake caliper for a disk brake system comprising a caliper bracket, a caliper housing, a first connecting means and a second connecting means, wherein the first connecting means and the second connecting means may each be configured to mount the caliper bracket to the caliper housing or wherein the first connecting means and the second connecting means may each be configured to mount the caliper bracket to an axle assembly, characterized in that a mass of the first connecting means is different from a mass of the second connecting means.
Guide assembly for a disc brake
A guide assembly for a disc brake and method of mounting. The guide assembly may have a guide pin that includes a mounting portion and a guiding portion. A retaining bore of a brake carrier may receive the guide pin and retain the mounting portion. The guiding portion may protrude from an inboard-side of the brake carrier and may slidably support a brake caliper.
Sliding mechanism for guide pins of a disc brake assembly
A disc brake assembly includes an anchor bracket, a guide pin, a sliding mechanism, and a damping member. The anchor bracket may have at least one bore formed therein. The guide pin may be adapted to be disposed in the at least one bore and slidably support a brake caliper relative to the anchor bracket. The sliding mechanism may be adapted to be disposed in the at least one bore and to slidably support the guide pin in the at least one bore. The damping member may damp sliding motion of the guide pin relative to the anchor bracket.
Disc brake, disc brake system, and parking brake system
The invention relates to a disc brake, comprising a brake carrier, a brake caliper, brake shoes, and an actuating piston. The brake carrier has at least one mounting point for mounting on a vehicle. The actuating piston is displaceably accommodated on the brake caliper and is actuatable for carrying out a service brake function of the disc brake. At least one further actuating piston is provided, which in the direction of its longitudinal axis is displaceably accommodated on the brake caliper. For carrying out the service brake function, the at least two actuating pistons are actuatable, and for carrying out a parking brake function, one of the actuating pistons is actuatable. The invention further relates to a disc brake system and a parking brake system.
Caliper guide assembly
A caliper guide assembly having a guide pin, a guide bore, a cap, and a sensor arrangement. The guide bore is arranged to receive the guide pin. The cap may be secured to an open end of the guide bore proximate a free end of the guide pin. The sensor arrangement may include a first sensor component that is configured to provide an output indicative of relative axial displacement between a first sensor component and a second sensor component.
DISC BRAKE ARRANGEMENT COMPRISING POSITIONING DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to a disc brake arrangement comprising, a brake carrier, at least one brake lining, and at least one positioning device. The brake carrier comprises a brake disc shaft, comprising at least one outer face which is a side remote from the brake disc shaft, comprising at least one inner face which is a side facing the brake disc shaft, and comprising guide grooves which run in each case from the outer face to the inner face, the direction thereof defining an actuating direction, and which are formed in each case from two opposing guide surfaces and a support surface connecting the guide surfaces. The at least one brake lining comprises a friction lining and a lining carrier which is displaceably mounted by guide ears in the guide grooves in the actuating direction. The at least one positioning device comprises a guide and comprises a clamping device, the brake lining and the brake carrier being coupled thereby so as to be displaceable relative to one another. The clamping device has at least one protruding, elastically-acting clamping element which, due to the elastic deformation in an operating configuration of the positioning device, brings about both a frictional connection between the clamping device and the guide, which permits a wear adjustment and generates a restoring force when an actuating force is applied to the positioning device. The disclosure further relates to a mounting method for mounting a positioning device in the disc brake arrangement.
PAD AXLE AND BRAKE CALIPER
A pad axle for a brake caliper comprises an axle body and a support body. The axle body includes a first mounting part and a second mounting part and extends along a longitudinal axis between the first mounting part and the second mounting part. Both of the first mounting part and the second mounting part are configured to be coupled to a caliper body of the brake caliper. The support body is a different member from the axle body and is attached to the axle body to movably support a brake pad of the brake caliper relative to the caliper body. The support body is provided between the first mounting part and the second mounting part of the axle body. The support body is made of a non-metallic material.
ANTI-RATTLE CALIPER SLEEVE
A fastener assembly is provided for helping to secure a mounting bracket to a housing of a vehicle caliper assembly having a piston axially movable for applying braking force to a brake pad. The fastener assembly includes a guide device including guide pin secured to the housing and having a head and a shaft extending into a bore in the mounting bracket. A sleeve includes a first portion configured to extend into the bore and a second portion provided inside the first portion and encircling and engaging the shaft for damping relative movement between the guide pin and the bore in response to vehicle vibrations. A flexible seal encircles the shaft and is connected to the guide pin and the sleeve such that axial movement of the guide pin relative to the bore changes the length of the seal.
BRAKE CALIPER
A brake caliper has a fixed seat. The fixed seat has a first brake lining and a second brake lining. The fixed seat further has a first piston and a second piston that can be pushed by hydraulic oil. A movable seat is slidably disposed on the fixed seat. The movable seat has a link portion that can link the first brake lining and a drive unit that can push the second piston mechanically. The first piston and the second piston can be pushed hydraulically to drive the first brake lining and the second brake lining for braking. The drive unit pushes the second piston to drive the second brake lining, and pushes the movable seat to drive the first brake lining for braking.
