CABLE TENSION ADJUSTER FOR HEIGHT-ADJUSTABLE WHEELED VEHICLE
The present application relates to a cable tension adjuster for a manually operated, height-adjustable wheeled vehicle. The vehicle includes a brake assembly including a brake cable assembly and a brake cable housing shaped to enclose an excess portion of the brake cable assembly. The brake assembly includes a cable adjuster coupled to the brake cable assembly, where the cable adjuster is enclosed by the brake cable housing. The brake cable housing provides an access port to access the cable tension adjuster.
Caliper brake for an elevator system used as a holding and safety brake
An elevator system caliper brake includes first and second brake levers each with a brake pad wherein the brake levers move the brake pads relative to one another along an actuation axis. The first brake lever is rotatably mounted at a stationary first mounting point at a housing of the brake, and the second brake lever is rotatably mounted at a second mounting point on an intermediate lever that is rotatably mounted at the brake housing. A tension element can be moved approximately parallel to an actuation axis and is connected to the brake levers at mounting points between the respective brake pads and the brake lever mounting points. A closing spring moves the first and second brake levers to decrease the distance between the brake pads and a linear spindle drive connected to the intermediate lever selectively counteracts the closing spring to increase the distance between the brake pads.
Method and brake control for actuating a friction brake
For rapid and precise actuation of a friction brake, the thermal expansion of the friction brake is determined using a thermal model of the friction brake and therefrom the temperature-dependent shift in the contact point is determined for the braking operation and the temperature-dependent shift in the contact point is taken into account when determining the actuation measure of the friction brake to be adjusted.

Anti-rattle clip for disc brake assembly and disc brake assembly including such an anti-rattle clip
A motor vehicle disc brake assembly comprises a caliper having a cavity, a brake disc rotatable relative to the caliper, a brake lining mounted to the caliper, a piston mounted in the cavity for displacing the brake lining against the brake disc, and an electromechanical actuator for supporting the piston. The electromechanical actuator has a drive assembly operably connected to a spindle, a rotationally restrained spindle nut threaded on the spindle, and an anti-rattle clip coupling together the piston and spindle nut. Rotation of the spindle by the drive assembly moves the spindle nut to support the piston.
Electric parking brake with active piston retraction
An electric parking brake for a vehicle brake system includes a caliper, a piston, a spindle, an adjuster nut, a ring-like member affixed to the piston, and a biasing member. The piston may be disposed within a cavity of the caliper. The spindle is configured to drive the axial movement of the adjuster nut between a retracted position and an extended position via a threaded engagement wherein the adjuster nut is disposed within the piston. The biasing member may be disposed between the ring-like member and the adjuster nut so that, as the adjuster nut moves from an extended position to a retracted position which corresponds to a control signal, the biasing member urges the piston away from the rotor.

ACTUATING DEVICE FOR AN INTERNAL SHOE BRAKE HAVING AN AUTOMATIC ADJUSTING DEVICE
The invention relates to an actuating device for an internal shoe brake, including an automatic adjusting device with an adjusting lever which includes a guide track in the form of a guiding slot with two opposing track surfaces which cooperate with opposing sides of a housing-fixed guide element in order to convert a displacement of the adjusting lever relative to the housing-fixed guide element into pivoting movements of the adjusting lever.
Brake actuator for aircraft wheel hydraulic brake
The invention relates to a brake actuator for an aircraft hydraulic brake, which is intended to be added into one of the cavities of a brake ring, the actuator comprising a liner (1) designed to be housed sealingly in the cavity of the ring, a piston (3) mounted to slide sealingly in the liner along an axis of sliding (X) so as to apply a braking force on friction pads when a fluid is introduced under pressure into the cavity, and having a determined operational travel, a wear compensation device (10) which defines a position to which the piston retreats into the liner by means of a mobile stop (11) that can be moved forward by the piston as a braking force is applied, and an elastic return member (16) returning the piston towards the retracted position bearing against the mobile stop. According to the invention, the mobile stop is reduced to a friction member rubbing against the liner, such that one of the faces of the friction member serves as a stop defining the retracted position of the piston, and the other of the faces serves as a support for the elastic return member, the elastic member having, when compressed, a sufficient increase in force in order to be able to push back the mobile stop in the event that the piston is not in contact with the friction pads while its operational travel is already exhausted.
