Power transmission device

A power transmission device includes an input rotary member, an intermediate rotary member, an output rotary member, a friction engaging part and a load adjusting mechanism. A torque is inputted to the input rotary member. The torque is inputted from the input rotary member to the intermediate rotary member. The torque is outputted from the output rotary member. The friction engaging part is engaged by friction with a friction force depending on a load applied thereto. The friction engaging part is configured to transmit the torque between the intermediate rotary member and the output rotary member. The load adjusting mechanism is configured to adjust the load applied to the friction engaging part in accordance with the torque inputted to the input rotary member.

The present invention provides a coupling device including a first rotating body and a second rotating body disposed coaxially with each other and rotatable relative to each other. The coupling device includes a spacer disposed between the first rotating body and the second rotating body; and a pressing member for performing pressing of at least one rotating body of the first rotating body and the second rotating body against the spacer. The spacer is formed of an elastic member, and generates a frictional force between the spacer and the one rotating body when the pressing member performs the pressing. The one rotating body and the spacer are formed to have a configuration that allows the one rotating body or the spacer to be idled when torque larger than the frictional force acts between the one rotating body and the spacer.

A multi-plate clutch is disclosed, including an outer plate carrier, an inner plate carrier, and a set of plates of alternately arranged radially between the outer plate carrier and the inner plate carrier and which is delimited by two end plates engaging at opposite ends of the set of plates, wherein each end plate rests against an annular axial supporting contour on the end face facing away from the set of plates, wherein the supporting contours differ in their effective diameter at which the supporting contours contact the associated end plate, and wherein the supporting contours apply an axial force on the set of plates such that the plates are elastically deformed into a conical shape.
