Chain drive mechanism
To provide a simple-structured chain drive mechanism that can reduce the noise generated when the chain sits on the sprocket, prevent deterioration of power transmission efficiency, and retard the progress of wear on the sprocket or chain. The chain drive mechanism includes a sprocket having a plurality of teeth, and a chain having a plurality of link plates and configured to be put around the sprocket. The sprocket includes a pair of flanges protruding circumferentially around the sprocket such as to sandwich the plurality of teeth from sides. The chain includes a pair of seat portions on both sides of the chain so that the flanges abut on the seat portions from a circumferential direction of the sprocket when the chain sits.
Chain plate
A chain plate includes two end segments, and an intermediate segment between the end segments. One of the end segments has an extension portion extending away from a rod hole of the end segment in a lengthwise direction. A distance from a center of the rod hole to an edge of the end segment in the lengthwise direction is greater than a distance from the center of the rod hole to an edge of the end segment in a widthwise direction. An inner surface of the chain plate has a first inclined region corresponding to a peripheral region of the end segment, and a second inclined region corresponding to the extension portion and between the first inclined region and the rod hole. The intermediate segment is formed with a recess.

ROCKER PIN FOR A ROCKER PIN PAIR OF A PLATE LINK CHAIN
A plate link chain includes a chain running direction, an axial direction, a radial direction, a plate link, and a rocker pin pair. Each rocker pin has a plate link side contact surface, a rolling surface, and axially opposite end faces. The end faces are inclined axially inwards from radially outside to radially inside, aligned transversely to the axial direction, and arranged for force transmitting contact with a conical pulley pair. The end faces have respective curvatures having a first curvature portion defined by a radial radius about a first axis parallel to the chain running direction, and a second curvature portion defined by an azimuthal radius about a second axis parallel to the radial direction. A magnitude of the radial radius increases from radially outside to radially central, or a magnitude of the azimuthal radius increases from forward to central with respect to the chain running direction.

SEGMENTED SHEET JAMMING DEVICES AND COMPONENTS
A sheet-jammable apparatus having two adjacent segments moveable against each other in a first state when a moving force is applied, and the two adjacent segments remain at a fixed relative position in a second state when the moving force is applied.

Rack and Chain Lifting Device
The invention is a rack and chain lifting device. The purpose is to convert rotational motion to linear motion in a way that is superior to a rack and pinion device because, first, it allows for more points of contact with the rack through the use of a silent chain in place of a pinion, and, second, because it can be used in corners since the motor can be distanced from the rack by means of the silent chain. The invention comprises a silent chain with link plates that are shaped such that the teeth of the link plates are offset when the chain is straightened, allowing the profile of the silent chain to correspond with the profiles of both gears and racks. The invention also comprises a rack that can be placed in corners. Some embodiments include a system of gears, a motor, and a mounting platform.
Chain and chain guide plate
The invention provides a chain and a chain guide plate that suppress occurrence of noise during chain traveling while attaining a reduction in costs and also attaining space saving. A chain includes first plate rows and second late rows. Each of the first plate rows includes a guide plate including a guide slide contact section for coming into slide contact with an inner side guide. The guide slide contact section extends in a chain longitudinal direction to be asymmetrical relative to an imaginary center line. During guiding by the inner side guide, lines drawn by the guide slide contact sections of a plurality of the guide plates are continuous in the chain longitudinal direction.
