ASYMMETRIC SPOKE DESIGN FOR TORSIONAL VIBRATION DAMPERS
20170314637 · 2017-11-02 · ·

Torsional vibration dampers (TVDs) having a plurality of spokes that are asymmetric by having a changing spoke thickness in the angular direction with the greatest thickness at the position where the belt torque and the dynamic torque of the TVD act in unison are disclosed. The spokes, which connect a central member to a peripheral rim, include an asymmetrical thickness in an angular direction, as evidenced by a cross-section view transverse to a radial length of each of the plurality of spokes. Engine systems having one of the disclosed TVDs mounted to a shaft are also disclosed, for example a TVD mounted to a crankshaft.

DRIVE CHAIN TENSIONER ASSEMBLY
20220034386 · 2022-02-03 ·

A drive chain tensioner assembly for all-terrain and utility vehicles, wherein the drive chain tensioner provides a tension spring between the axis of rotation and a distal portion of a mounting bracket, wherein the mounting bracket and tension spring are coplanar. The proximal portion of the mounting bracket is rotatably connected about a second pivot point spaced apart from a first pivot point associated with the axis of rotation by way of a tension arm. A bracket head may interconnect the second pivot point and the mounting bracket. The tension spring and second pivot point affords the present invention with functional self-adjustability as a result of the foregoing.

Manual window treatment having a floating chain tensioner

A manual drive assembly for a manually-operated window treatment based on a drive chain formed as a loop, may incorporate one or more intermediate tensioners disposed between two ends of the loop. The loop may be formed between a manual clutch mechanism coupled to the window treatment and an end tensioner. The one or more intermediate tensioners may serve to limit slack in the loop such that sides of the loop cannot be pulled to create a large loop, for example, having a gap of four inches or greater, between the hanging sides of the cord.

A sheave/sprocket tension adjustment and alignment tool (STAT) for adjusting alignment between a sheave/sprocket of a motor and a sheave/sprocket of an application machine includes a plate, a securing unit, and an adjusting unit. The plate has a first side and a second side, each of which is an opposite side of a plane of the plate. The securing unit is coupled to the first side of the plate and is configured to protrude in a first direction from the first side of the plate. The adjusting unit is coupled to a second side of the plate. The adjusting unit includes an adjustable protrusion that is configured to adjustably protrude in a second direction, which is substantially parallel to the plane of the plate.

Actuating device for powered orthosis

An actuating device for orthosis includes a transmission that is operatively connected to a motor such that the motor provides power to the transmission. The transmission includes a first stage, a second stage, and a third stage. Each of these stages includes at least two sprockets and a drive belt tensioned between the two sprockets. The transmission also includes a first shaft and a second shaft. A sprocket of each of the first, second, and third stages of the transmission is attached to the first shaft. An actuating arm is operatively connected to the third stage of the transmission such that the power provided to the transmission by the motor causes the actuating arm to provide an output torque.
