20180001883 · 2018-01-04 ·

A system for controlling fluid flow to and from a clutch includes a motor, a pump, and a valve assembly. The valve assembly includes a housing defining an interior. The housing defines a first orifice operably coupled to the pump and a second orifice operably coupled to the clutch. The valve assembly also includes a piston operably coupled to the motor and disposed within the interior of said housing. The piston is movable between a first position for allowing the fluid flow between the first orifice and the second orifice, a second position for obstructing the fluid flow between the first orifice and the second orifice, and a third position for limiting the fluid flow between the first orifice and the second orifice. The valve assembly additionally includes a biasing member coupled to the piston. The biasing member biases the piston toward the first position.

Shift by wire system

A shift by wire system is configured to systematically separate a shift dial and an autonomous driving dial, thereby preventing an erroneous manipulation of an autonomous driving mode and allowing effortless selection of the autonomous driving mode. The shift by wire system includes a shift dial shifting to engage a stop gear, a reverse gear, and a forward gear and an autonomous driving dial hidden by the shift dial in the stop gear or reverse gear and exposed from the shift dial in the forward gear to implement the autonomous driving mode.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRANSMISSION WITH CREEPER MODE SELECTION
20180010684 · 2018-01-11 ·

A mechanical creeper mode selection system for a transmission of a work vehicle is provided, in which the transmission includes one or more range modes having one or more range mode shift mechanisms each driven by an electrohydraulic circuit. The system includes a creeper mode selection lever movable by an operator to select a creeper gear range. The system also includes a sensor that observes a position of the creeper mode selection lever and generates sensor signals based thereon. The system includes a controller that processes the sensor data to determine a movement of the creeper mode selection lever and outputs one or more control signals to the electrohydraulic circuit to position the one or more range mode shift mechanisms in a range neutral mode based on the movement of the creeper mode selection lever.

PRIMARY CLUTCH ELECTRONIC CVT

A continuously variable transmission (CVT) is provided for use on a recreational or utility vehicle. The CVT is electronically controlled by at least one control unit of the vehicle. The CVT includes a primary clutch having a first sheave and a second sheave moveable relative to the first sheave. An actuator controls movement of the second sheave.

SELECTOR LEVER ASSEMBLY FOR SELECTING AND SWITCHING DIFFERENT DRIVING MODES IN A VEHICLE TRANSMISSION

A selector lever assembly for selecting and shifting to various driving modes in a vehicle transmission may include a rotary knob that is connected to a shaft element supported in a housing, where the driving modes are assigned to the rotational range of the shaft element, and separated from one another by a latching contour that can be felt by a driver, and where the rotation of the shaft element can be blocked by a locking contour, and where the shaft element is connected to a disk element for conjoint rotation, but can be displaced axially in order to activate and deactivate at least one further function mode.

SHIFTING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE

A shifting device in which a selected shift position can be confirmed easily, and which can be fitted easily in vehicles. The shifting device comprises: a restriction member that restricts a movement of a shift lever into a predetermined shift slot in a first shifting mode, and that cancels the restriction of the movement of the shift lever in a second shifting mode; and an indicator that indicates a first pattern when the first shifting mode is selected, and that indicates a second pattern when the second shifting mode is selected.

Motor Vehicle Having a Control Element for Selecting a Vehicle Operating Mode From a Plurality of Defined Vehicle Operating Modes

A motor vehicle has a control element for selecting a vehicle operating mode from a plurality of defined vehicle operating modes. Furthermore, the motor vehicle has at least one drive motor and an electronically controllable, automated transmission, which is operable in at least one automatic program and in at least one manual program. The motor vehicle also has an electric control arrangement and at least one button for triggering a changeover from an automatic program to a manual program. The electronic control arrangement is configured such that, upon activation of the button for triggering a manual program for a predefined minimum duration by the driver, an operating mode, which is not selectable via the control element based on dynamics, independent of the activation of the control element, is automatically activatable and displayable on the display instead of a selectable operating mode.

SHIFTER ASSEMBLY

A shifter assembly selects a first mode and a second mode of a transmission for a vehicle. The shifter assembly includes a housing and a shift lever movably coupled to the housing and pivotable relative to the housing. The shift lever includes a body and a cap defining an aperture and being coupled to the body. The cap is rotatable relative to the body between a first and a second orientations. The shift lever further includes a toggle device partially received by the cap in the aperture with at least a portion of the toggle device being moveably coupled to the body between a rest and a depressed positions. The shift lever further includes an element mounted to the toggle device and rotatable with the cap between the first and the second orientations. The shift lever further includes a sensor system configured to interact with the element to detect rotation of the cap between the first and the second orientations.

METHOD FOR OPERATING A TRANSMISSION DEVICE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE, AND CORRESPONDING TRANSMISSION DEVICE
20170350501 · 2017-12-07 · ·

A method for operating a transmission device for a motor vehicle. A drive gear is selected from a drive gear set and set on a transmission and upon going above a rotational speed upper limit a drive gear with a larger gearing ratio and upon going below a rotational speed lower limit a drive gear with a smaller gearing ratio is selected from the drive gear set and set on the transmission. In a normal operating mode, the drive gear set corresponds to a normal operation drive gear set having a plurality of different drive gears, and the rotational speed upper limit corresponds to a normal operation rotational speed upper limit and the rotational speed lower limit corresponds to a normal operation rotational speed lower limit. In an alternative operating mode the drive gear set corresponds to an alternative operation drive gear set, having a smaller number of different drive gears than the normal operation drive gear set.
