Increased power requirements are detected via a driver input and provide a desired rotational speed. The electrical machine assists the acceleration of the internal combustion engine to said desired rotational speed.

The operating method includes detecting at least one operating parameter of the output setpoint value generator, comparing the at least one operating parameter with a predefined threshold value, and moving the hydraulic device from the first switching state to the second switching state based on the comparison.
