The method comprises the steps of providing a hydrostatic circuit, detecting a rapid deceleration of the vehicle, and adjusting a threshold of at least one pressure relief valve forming a portion of the hydrostatic circuit in response to the sudden deceleration. The at least one pressure relief valve facilitates quickly changing the driveline from the blended hydrostatic/mechanical power transmission mode to the hydrostatic power transmission mode.

PARK BRAKE AND TRACTION DRIVE BYPASS INTERLOCK

Methods and apparatus for a lawn maintenance vehicle park brake and traction drive interlock are provided. A park brake mechanism is selectively operable between an engaged position and a disengaged position. A traction drive is also mounted to the lawn maintenance vehicle, the traction drive having a disable mode which prohibits transmission of a driving force from the traction drive to a drive wheel. A first operable connection between the park brake mechanism and a wheel brake activates the wheel brake. A second operable connection between the park brake mechanism and the traction drive activates the disable mode of the traction drive. A method of controlling a lawn maintenance vehicle with a park brake and traction drive interlock include the steps of providing a lawn maintenance vehicle, providing an operable park brake mechanism, providing a first operable connection, and providing a second operable connection.

The present disclosure is directed to a hydrostatic transmission apparatus including a pump, a first motor, and a second motor having two elementary motors. Each of the motors having first and second enclosures for feed/discharge. In work mode and in road mode, the second enclosure of the first elementary motor of the second motor and the first enclosure of the first motor are connected together in series, the second enclosure of the first motor being connected to the second port of the pump, and the second enclosure of the second elementary motor of the second motor is connected to the second port of the pump. In work mode, the first enclosure of each of the two elementary motors of the third motor is connected to the first port of the pump.
