A pump operation piston biased by a neutral spring mechanism and a larger volume operation spring biased by a larger volume operation spring in a larger volume direction operatively move pump and motor volume adjusting members, respectively, is provided. A first pressure control valve commonly controls supply-discharge of pressure oil that presses the pump operation piston in a first slide direction and the motor operation piston in a smaller volume direction. A second pressure control valve controls supply-discharge of pressure oil that presses the pump operation piston in a second slide direction. Biasing forces of the neutral spring mechanism and the larger volume operation spring are so set that, after the pump operation piston is moved in the first slide direction by a predetermined distance, the motor operation piston starts moving.

Hydrostatic Traction Drive in an Open Circuit
20230008843 · 2023-01-12 ·

A hydrostatic traction drive includes a hydrostatic pump and a hydrostatic motor connected to each other in an open circuit. One of the pump and motor is pressure-regulated while the other is torque-controlled or regulated in terms of pivot angle. A braking mode is therefore possible in which the secondary-side braking torque can be adapted to the permissible primary-side supporting torque of a primary machine coupled to the pump. To further increase the braking power, even in a high rotational phase of the primary machine, the permissible drag torque thereof can be temporarily exceeded. To further increase the braking power and therefore to have high-performance braking during operation, further means for converting energy can be provided in order to adjust a secondary-side braking torque and a primary-side supporting torque independently of each other.

HYDROMECHANICAL TRANSMISSION AND CONTROL METHOD
20230091145 · 2023-03-23 ·

Methods and systems for controlling a hydromechanical transmission are proposed. In one example, a control method for a hydrostatic unit of a hydromechanical variable transmission (HVT) is presented, comprising controlling the hydrostatic unit via a feedforward control architecture including a non-linear, multi-coefficient model, wherein the hydrostatic unit comprises a hydrostatic pump and a hydrostatic motor. A desired differential pressure of the hydrostatic unit or a desired hydraulic pump displacement may be used as inputs for the model, where the model's output is a pressure difference for a pump control piston coupled to a swash plate of the hydrostatic unit. Use of the non-linear model permits the hydrostatic unit to be controlled based on load, speed, and/or torque, thereby increasing the adaptability of the control system.

Hydraulic system of work machine and work machine

A hydraulic system of a work machine includes a first hydraulic device to operate in a first operation mode while pressure of hydraulic oil supplied from a hydraulic pump via a first oil passage is equal to or higher than a first pressure threshold. The hydraulic oil in the first oil passage is to be discharged via a second oil passage. A pilot check valve is provided in the second oil passage and has a pilot port to receive a pilot pressure of the hydraulic oil. The pilot check valve is closed to stop discharging the hydraulic oil in the first oil passage through the second oil passage while the pilot pressure is lower than the fourth pressure threshold. The pilot check valve is opened while the pilot pressure is higher than or equal to the fourth pressure threshold. The first hydraulic device is a ride control device.

Hydrostatic travel drive and method for controlling the hydrostatic travel drive

A hydrostatic travel drive includes a hydraulic pump for the purpose of supplying pressure medium to a hydraulic motor of the travel drive that can be coupled to an output, which pump can be coupled to a drive machine. The hydraulic pump has an actuating cylinder with at least one cylinder chamber and a swept volume which can be adjusted via the actuating cylinder, and at least one electrically activatable pressure valve via which the cylinder chamber can be charged with an adjustingly active actuating pressure. The travel drive further includes device via which a pressure of the hydraulic pump can be limited by means of influencing the actuating pressure.

HYDRAULIC DRIVE SYSTEM OF CONSTRUCTION MACHINE

A bi-directional pump connected to a motor by a pair of supply/discharge lines; a regulator changes the bi-directional pump tilting angle; and a controller controls the regulator based on a turning signal outputted from a turning operation valve. At the turning acceleration, at which the signal increases, the controller calculates a motor flow rate passing through the motor and an instruction flow rate determined based on the turning signal. If the instruction flow rate is greater than a reference flow rate obtained by adding a predetermined value to the motor flow rate, the controller controls the regulator so the bi-directional pump tilting angle is adjusted to a tilting angle realizing the reference flow rate. If the instruction flow rate is not greater than the reference flow rate, the controller controls the regulator so the bi-directional pump tilting angle is adjusted to a tilting angle realizing the instruction flow rate.
