Orbital Tensioner
An orbital tensioner comprising an annular base, a ring journalled to the annular base on a ball bearing, said ring having a ring axis of rotation (A-A), a first pulley journalled to the ring, a first pulley axis of rotation (B-B) offset from the ring axis of rotation (A-A), a pivot arm pivotally mounted to the ring, a pivot arm pivot axis (C-C) offset from the ring axis of rotation (A-A), a second pulley journalled to the pivot arm, a torsion spring biasing the pivot arm in a first direction, the ball bearing having a first race and a second race, the ring fixed to the first race, the annular base fixed to the second race, and a damping mechanism frictionally disposed between the ring and the base.
Tensioning device and method with torque adjustment
A tensioning device for a traction drive comprises: a base member; at least one tensioning arm pivotably supported on the base member around a pivot axis, with a tensioning roller which is rotatably supported on a bearing carrier of the tensioning arm; spring means for resiliently loading the tensioning arm, wherein the spring means extend between a first spring support of the tensioning arm and a second spring support of the tensioning device over a circumferential length around the pivot axis; an adjusting mechanism for adjusting the first spring support relative to the bearing carrier of the tensioning roller in circumferential direction about the pivot axis. A method includes adjusting the torque of the tensioning device.
Camming drive pulley for electric power steering system
A power steering system includes a rack housing arranged to receive a longitudinally displaceable rack member. The system also includes an assist cover connected to the rack housing, the rack housing and the assist cover defining a cavity. The system further includes an assist assembly at least partially disposed within the cavity. The assist assembly includes a power pack connected to the rack housing, the power pack having a power pack shaft extending therefrom. The assist assembly also includes a drive pulley coupled to the power pack shaft. The assist assembly further includes a single bearing disposed within a bore defined by the drive pulley. The assist assembly yet further includes a mechanical fastener coupling the drive pulley to the assist cover. The assist assembly also includes a driven pulley disposed about the rack member.
Endless conveyor device having removable conveyor unit and method
An endless conveyor device comprises a conveyor unit having at least one endless conveyor, which is configured to convey items; a drive roller assembly, which is drivable by a drive belt and configured to drive the endless conveyor and has a support element; a deflecting roller assembly and an intermediate body, disposed between the drive roller assembly and the deflecting roller assembly, as well as between a conveying strand and a return strand of the endless conveyor. The endless conveyor device further comprises a drive unit comprising the drive belt, a motor and a support device, which is configured to engage with the support element. The drive belt is relaxable by pivoting the conveyor unit relative to the drive unit about a rotation axis of the drive roller assembly in a first direction. A method for removing a conveyor unit from an endless conveyor device is also provided.
Tensioner and method
