Gasket with electrical isolating coatings
An electrically isolating gasket is disclosed wherein a coating layer is disposed on at least one conductive surface, and in some embodiments, on all surfaces or at least all of the conductive surfaces. The electrically isolating gasket includes a core gasket component, a ring seal component, and a non-conductive inner seal component. The coating layer can be, for example, polyimide, polyamide, ceramic, and aluminum oxide.
GASKET MEMBER MANUFACTURING METHOD AND GASKET MEMBER
Provided is a method for manufacturing a gasket member as described below. A plate-like base material is clamped between a first and a second split mold, and a gasket is fixed to a surface of the base material by injecting and filling a rubber-like elastic material into a cavity defined between the base material and the first split mold. An air vent is provided including an exhaust groove and an exhaust hole, the exhaust groove extending from the cavity toward an inner or outer peripheral side on a butting surface between the base material and the first split mold and partially opening in a circumferential direction of the cavity, the exhaust hole extending from the exhaust groove in a clamping direction of the first and second split molds. Air in the cavity is discharged through the air vent when the rubber-like elastic material is injected and filled into the cavity.
Seal device
A seal device is configured so that seal properties can be held over a long period of time. A seal device 1 inserted into and disposed between grooves each formed at first and second components which are adjacent to each other and collectively form a housing structure includes a first seal member inserted into the groove of the first component, a second seal member inserted into the groove of the second component, and a partitioning member extending between the first and second seal members to partition a space between the grooves of the first and second components and arranged movably relative to the first and second seal members.
Film-integrated gasket having a gasket support with a recess formed therein
A film-integrated gasket is provided in which a gasket body is supported by a gasket support body formed of a resin film and a film thickness t.sub.2 at a position where the gasket body is supported is set to be smaller than a film thickness t.sub.1 at an adjacent position thereto so as to satisfy a demand for low reaction force by reducing the compression ratio in the thickness directional in mounting. The film-integrated gasket can be provided with a portion compressed in the thickness direction at the position where the gasket body is supported, so that the portion sets a thickness difference. The film-integrated gasket can alternatively be provided with a portion where a plurality of resin films is stacked at an adjacent position to the position where the gasket main body is supported, so that the portion sets a thickness difference.
HIGH-TEMPERATURE SEAL HAVING A CLAMPING PROFILE
A seal for sealing a gap in a combustion arrangement of a gas turbine. The seal is formed by a L-shaped angle profile and a clamping profile. Both profiles have on the opposite side an engagement flank for fastening in a sealing groove and a sealing flank bearing against one another. The clamping profile further includes a holding portion, which is located opposite the associated sealing flank and also bears against the sealing flank of the angle profile, and a clamping portion connecting the sealing flank to the holding portion.
SEAL FOR COMBUSTION APPARATUS
A seal for sealing a gap in a combustion apparatus of a gas turbine between a first side and an opposite second side. The seal includes a steel strap with a flat shape and a first metal web with a flat shape attached to the steel strap on the first side and a second metal web attached to the steel strap on the second side. Thereby the seal has a seal thickness with at least the steel strap plus the first metal web plus the thickness of the second metal web, wherein the seal thickness is at most 0.2-times of width of the seal. The new seal has an Omega shape of the second metal web, which is therefore attached on both sides with a flat shaped portion to the steel strap.
Under-Balanced Seal Ring
A piping system for oil and gas in very deep water includes two opposing flanges and a seal ring between the flanges. Each flange has an annular ridge between concentric grooves. The seal ring has a radial web that connects longitudinal inner and outer sealing portions, which are received in the concentric grooves with the annular ridge received sealingly between the inner and outer sealing portions. The inner sealing portion of the seal ring is longer than the outer sealing portion. The web is as thick as or thicker than the inner and outer sealing portions. The seal ring comprises inner and outer concentric hollow cylinders having a non-uniform wall thickness and an annular rib that connects the hollow cylinders together, where one cylinder is longer than the other and where the rib has a longitudinal thickness that is as great as the radial thickness of the walls of the hollow cylinders.
SELF ACTIVATING SEAL ASSEMBLY BACKUP
Provided is a seal assembly. The seal assembly, in one aspect, includes a first member, the first member formed of a first material, and a second member overlapping with the first member, the second member formed of a second material, the first and second members defining an overlapping fluid leakage path. The seal assembly according to this aspect further includes a primary seal positioned in the overlapping fluid leakage path, the primary seal configured to prevent fluid from passing from a first side of the overlapping fluid leakage path to a second side of the overlapping fluid leakage path. The seal assembly according to this aspect additionally includes an expandable metal backup seal positioned in the second side of the overlapping fluid leakage path, the expandable metal backup seal including a metal configured to expand in response to hydrolysis.
Cylinder head gasket with one carrier layer and at least one insert
A cylinder head gasket with a carrier layer and at least one inserted sealing element, wherein the inserted sealing element has a passage opening for combustion gas, the inserted sealing element is fastened on the carrier layer on an outer side which is spaced apart from the passage opening, and the inserted sealing element has at least a first layer and at least one further layer. An engine component comprising the cylinder head gasket is disclosed, the engine component having an engine block unit, a cylinder sleeve unit which delimits the engine block unit at least in regions from a combustion chamber, and a cylinder head unit, wherein the cylinder head gasket is arranged between the cylinder head unit on one hand and the engine block unit and the cylinder sleeve unit on the other hand.
GASKET DEVICE AND PNEUMATIC VALVE SYSTEM FOR A COMMERCIAL VEHICLE
A gasket device for a pneumatic valve system, in particular of a commercial vehicle, comprises gasket part being adapted to be inserted into at least a groove of a contact face of a first casing part, e.g. an adapter, the gasket part comprising at least one gasket chamber for sealingly connecting device channels of mounted casing parts; a body part being adapted to be received in a valve seat of the casing part; at least one spring part connecting the body part and the gasket part,
