CERAMIC COMPONENT HAVING SILICON LAYER AND BARRIER LAYER
A seal system includes a ceramic component that has a non-core-gaspath surface region that defines a first surface roughness and a core gaspath surface region. A metallic component is situated adjacent the non-core-gaspath surface region. A coating system is disposed on the ceramic component. The coating system includes a silicon-containing layer on the non-core-gaspath surface region and a barrier layer that has a first section on the silicon-containing layer and a second section on the core-gaspath region and that is connected to the first section. The surface of the barrier layer has a second surface roughness that is less than the first surface roughness. The first section is in contact with the metallic component and the second section serves as an environmental barrier on the core-gaspath region.
RUBBER GASKET WITH MOLDED-IN PLASTIC COMPRESSION LIMITER
A gasket includes a plurality of compression limiters each including a plastic body having a fastener aperture extending there through and a plurality of flow holes extending there through. An elastomeric body defines a perimeter sealing body molded around the plurality of compression limiters at spaced locations around the perimeter sealing body. The elastomeric body extends through the plurality of flow holes in the plurality of compression limiters.
Method for producing statistical copolymer containing chloroprene monomer unit and unsaturated nitrile monomer unit, statistical copolymer, latex and use of same
To provide a statistical copolymer containing a chloroprene monomer unit and an unsaturated nitrile monomer unit which has a satisfactory oil resistance. A method for producing a statistical copolymer containing a chloroprene monomer unit and an unsaturated nitrile monomer unit includes a step for conducting continuous addition or 10 cycles or more of intermittent portionwise addition of the chloroprene monomer after initiation of a polymerization reaction is provided. A rubber composition using a statistical copolymer according to the invention or a vulcanized molded article containing the rubber composition is excellent in terms of oil resistance, mechanical strength, compression set at a low temperature and flex fatigue resistance.
RUBBER COMPOSITION AND VULCANIZED MOLDED ARTICLE
A rubber composition is provided that contains an ethylene-butene-diene terpolymer, silica having a CTAB specific surface area of 30 m.sup.2/g or more and 150 m.sup.2/g or less, a silane coupling agent, and a crosslinking agent, in which a content of the silica per 100 parts by weight of the ethylene-butene-diene terpolymer is 25 parts by weight or more and 90 parts by weight or less.
FLUORORUBBER COMPOSITION
A fluororubber composition comprising 3 to 20 parts by weight of carbon fibers and 1 to 8 parts by weight of carbon nanotubes based on 100 parts by weight of fluororubber. The crosslinked molded article obtained from the fluororubber composition has excellent effects of not only imparting oil film retention, but also improving the material strength of fluororubber due to the combined use of carbon nanotubes, which have high reinforcing properties. Further, the fluororubber composition can give a fluororubber crosslinked product excellent in abrasion resistance and pressure resistance.
