Seal ring, cross shaft coupling, intermediate shaft assembly, steering device
A seal ring (26) configured to be employed with a cross shaft (16) including a center section (17) and four shaft sections (18a, 18b, 18c, 18d) extending in four directions from the center section and formed with step faces (17a) where the center section widens out from base ends of the shaft sections outward in radial directions of the shaft sections, and with bearings (21) for mounting to leading end portions of the shaft sections. The seal ring is fitted over the shaft section and interposed between the bearing and the step face. The seal ring includes a seal lip (34) configured to contact the step face around the entire circumference, and an indentation (36) the seal lip enters by deforming when mounted to the cross shaft.
TRACEABLE GASKET AND COMPRESSION PACKING MATERIAL
A material that includes traceable particles that retain information about the fabrication of the material, which can be used to trace the origin thereof. The material may form gaskets, which are used to seal flanged joints in the food and beverage industry, and compression packings, which are used for sealing near valve stems, pump shafts, and similar machines.
GASKET
A gasket is provided that can be easily assembled into an annular gap. The gasket is inserted from one end side toward the other end side of a shaft member into an annular gap between a housing and a shaft member at least partially inserted into the housing. The gasket includes a cylindrical main body portion inserted into the housing and fixed to the housing, and a seal portion extending from an inner peripheral surface of the main body portion and abutting on an outer peripheral surface of the shaft member. The seal portion is composed of a protrusion extending in the entire circumferential direction and protruding inward in the radial direction at an intermediate portion in the insertion direction in the inner peripheral surface of the main body portion.
Flow control valve having a sealing gasket with a secondary sealing surface
A flow control valve includes a valve body having a first section and a second section attached to the first section. A flow control member is positioned within the valve body and a shaft extends through the valve body and is connected to the flow control member to move the flow control member between an open position and a closed position. A sealing gasket is positioned within the valve body and engages the valve body to prevent the flow of fluid between the first section and the second section. The sealing gasket has an annular metallic body having an inner surface and an opposing outer surface, the outer surface defining a primary sealing surface, a groove formed in the outer surface, and an insert positioned within the groove, the insert defining a secondary sealing surface.
Positive/negative pressure gasket
A sealing arrangement is provided for sealing a mounting groove formed in a first or second mounting member separated by a gap and defining a hydraulic passage. A gasket is mounted in the groove between the passage and gap. The gasket includes an annular gasket body having first and second axial ends and a buried reinforcement ring. The gasket body includes a unitary flange extending radially outward from the first axial end. The flange includes a first seal lip extending axially outward from the flange proximate the passage or gap. The first seal lip contacts a surface of the first or second mounting member facing the passage. The gasket body includes a second seal lip extending outward from the second axial end to contact a bottom surface of the mounting groove.
RESTRAINED GASKET FOR PLASTIC PIPES
A gasket for preventing the separation of a pipe joint formed between plastic pipes such as pipes manufactured from PVC. The invention provides an internally restrained pipe joint including a bell with a substantially V-shaped annular groove. The annular groove includes a front radial wall and a rear radial wall and a gasket seated in the annular groove. The gasket includes an inner radial face, an opening defined by the inner radial face and an outer radial face with a front radial section located adjacent to the front radial wall of the annular groove and a rear radial section located adjacent to the rear radial wall of the annular groove. A plurality of toothed, rigid restraining segments is at least partially embedded in the gasket.
Method of producing gasket and gasket
A method of producing a gasket in which burrs can be prevented from being formed, and a mold failure can be suppressed, and a gasket are provided. A method of producing a gasket includes: a step S1 of preparing a metal mesh member and expanded graphite; a step S2 of placing the metal mesh member around the expanded graphite in a manner that a long belt-like composite body in which the expanded graphite is enveloped by the metal mesh member is formed; a step S4 of adjusting the shapes of longitudinal end portions of the composite body in a manner that, in the short-side direction of the composite body, the width dimensions of the longitudinal end portions of the composite body are smaller than the width dimension of a longitudinal middle portion of the composite body; a step S5 of spirally winding the composite body in a manner that a tubular body in a multiply wound state in which an axial direction coincides with the short-side direction of the composite body is formed; and a step S6 of compress molding the tubular body in the axial direction of the tubular body.
Multi-elastomer seal
A system, in certain embodiments has, a fluid seal having a seal body, including a seal interface having one or more engagement portions, a first elastomer portion disposed along the seal interface, and a second elastomer portion disposed along the seal interface, wherein the first and second elastomers have material properties that are different from one another.
Sealing ring assembly
A sealing ring assembly for connection of an exhaust gas cooler to a coolant line may include a carrier ring composed of a plastic, a sealing ring composed of a sealing material connected to the carrier ring; and a heat protection element connected to the carrier ring and surrounding the carrier ring on a radial outer side defining an air gap therebetween.
Spring Energized Cylinder Liner Seal
A seal assembly that includes a substantially annular cylindrical configuration that defines an aperture that defines a cylindrical axis and a radial direction is provided. The seal assembly comprises a spring member that includes two arm portions that extend substantially in a direction that is parallel to the cylindrical axis and that meet forming a flex point, and a sealing member that at least partially encapsulates the spring member and that includes: a first sealing feature, and a second sealing feature that is positioned axially and radially adjacent the flex point of the spring member and that faces in a direction that is diametrically opposite the direction that the first sealing feature faces along the radial direction, and an elastomeric material that includes a base resistant type 5 fluoroleastomer made from a copolymer of propylene and tetrafluoroethylene.
