A sealing profile for embedding in a moulded part made of curable material. Spalling observed in practice, which occur, in particular, at corners of tubbings in the area with an integrated seal, can be effectively prevented or at least reduced by using a sealing profile where the flanks of the profile base, which is embedded within the moulded part, e.g., concrete tubbing, merge with rounded portions or chamfers into the profile base face. In addition, the at least one anchoring foot is located within the profile base face and thus outside the area of the rounded portions.

CERAMIC COMPONENT HAVING SILICON LAYER AND BARRIER LAYER

A seal system includes a ceramic component that has a non-core-gaspath surface region that defines a first surface roughness and a core gaspath surface region. A metallic component is situated adjacent the non-core-gaspath surface region. A coating system is disposed on the ceramic component. The coating system includes a silicon-containing layer on the non-core-gaspath surface region and a barrier layer that has a first section on the silicon-containing layer and a second section on the core-gaspath region and that is connected to the first section. The surface of the barrier layer has a second surface roughness that is less than the first surface roughness. The first section is in contact with the metallic component and the second section serves as an environmental barrier on the core-gaspath region.

Provided is a gasket mounting structure capable of preventing a gasket from being mounted in a wrong direction. The gasket mounting structure is configured such that, when a jig 200 is inserted into a gasket 100 from a large-diameter inner peripheral surface portion 124 side, a small-diameter outer peripheral surface portion 210 is press-fitted into an inner peripheral surface of a seal projection 122 to result in a state in which the gasket 100 is held by the jig 200 and, when the jig 200 is inserted into the gasket 100 from a small-diameter inner peripheral surface portion 123 side, the small-diameter outer peripheral surface portion 210 does not reach a position at which the small-diameter outer peripheral surface portion 210 can come into contact with the seal projection 122.

Ceramic component having silicon layer and barrier layer

A seal system includes a ceramic component, a metallic component, a coating system. The ceramic component has a first surface region that defines a first surface roughness. The metallic component is situated adjacent to the first surface region and has a second surface region facing the first surface region. The coating system includes a silicon-containing layer on the surface region of the ceramic component and barrier layer on the silicon-containing layer. The silicon containing layer has a surface in contact with the barrier layer and the barrier layer has a surface in contact with the metallic component. The surface of the barrier layer has a second surface roughness that is less than the first surface roughness. The barrier layer serves to limit interaction between silicon of the silicon-containing layer and elements of the metallic component. The barrier layer includes at least one of mullite, zircon, or hafnon.

Systems for reducing leakage at a pressure barrier in a gas meter, are provided including first and second gaskets; a flexible circuit having variable thicknesses, such that a thicker portion of the flexible circuit is provided between the first and second gaskets; and a mounting plate on the flexible circuit, the mounting plate compressing the flexible circuit between the first and second gaskets on a non-pressurized side of the pressure barrier of the gas meter. The gasket assembly according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is a gasket assembly for a fuel cell humidifier comprising a mid-casing, a cap fastened to the mid-casing, and at least one cartridge disposed in the mid-casing and receiving a plurality of hollow fiber membranes. The gasket assembly includes a packing part provided with a hole into which an end part of the cartridge is inserted, an edge part formed by being connected to the packing part, and a damping part formed on an outer peripheral surface of the cartridge.

The depending skirt is configured for engagement over a circular upstand of the pipe coupling, which is located inwardly of the annular groove. The stiffening ring is located within the upper portion of the annular seal, and includes an annular portion that is generally parallel with and spaced apart from the abutment surface and at least one circumferential leg depending from the annular portion that provides reinforcement for the depending leg.

In accordance with at least one aspect of this disclosure, a fuel seal for an aircraft fuel system includes a seal ring of a metallic material configured to retain a shape of the seal ring under compression, and a coating of elastomeric material, over molded onto the seal ring and configured to conform to a shape of a sealing surface. In embodiments, the seal ring and coating can be configured to provide drop-tight sealing at a temperature of at least 400 degrees F. In certain embodiments, the seal ring and coating can be configured to seal one or more fuel system components of an aircraft fuel system.

The side lip portion has a back surface configured to be in contact with the projecting portion in response to the side lip portion being pressed by a mating member disposed opposite to the object to be sealed.
