The seal member includes a fixed part fixed to the valve seat, a contact part to be brought into contact with a seal surface of the valve element, and a constricted part provided between the fixed part and the contact part. The contact part is rotatable about the constricted part.

Fluid supply system having shutoff valve with stabilized electrical valve actuator

A fluid supply system for a machine such as an internal combustion engine includes a shutoff valve having an electrical actuator that includes a solenoid subassembly, and a stabilizer for the electrical valve actuator. The stabilizer includes a fitting structured to couple the shutoff valve to adjacent hardware in the fluid supply system, and a strongarm extending between the fitting and the solenoid assembly and clamped to the solenoid subassembly. A vibration-damping reinforced grommet may be clamped between the solenoid subassembly and the clamp.

Outlet valve for a riser of a surface irrigation system and riser

A riser for a surface irrigation system has a housing and an outlet valve. The housing has an open upper portion and an outlet defining an orifice. The valve includes an upper closure, a valve member, and an actuating lever. The upper closure is securable to the riser. The valve member is coupled to the closure and mountable within a flow path of the fluid, the valve member operable for opening and closing the valve, and configured to seat against a valve seat of the housing, and on an upstream side of the orifice, whereby the pressure of fluid within the valve urges the valve member against the seat when the valve is closed. The pivotable actuating lever having one end extending through the orifice and coupled to the valve member, and an operable end for operating the valve member to open and close the valve.

BLEED VALVE ASSEMBLIES

Methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture are disclosed for a variable bleed valve assembly. An example variable bleed valve assembly a variable bleed valve (VBV) door corresponding to a bleed port and a first unison ring, the VBV door coupled to the first unison ring, the first unison ring to move in a circumferential direction between a first position and a second position causing the VBV door to move between the first position and the second position.

Preaction sprinkler valve assemblies, related dry sprinkler devices and fire protection sprinkler systems

A thermal trigger assembly for remote mechanical actuation of another fire protection system component includes an activation component having a base and a movable member. A bias member biases the movable member from a preactivation to an activated position with respect to the base. A thermally responsive element retains the movable member in the preactivation position until a predetermined thermodynamic condition is reached, when the thermally responsive element loses structural integrity. A flexible connector includes a flexible hollow outer cable housing with one end configured to be stationarily (preferably fixedly) connected with the base. A flexible cable is inside the outer cable housing for sliding movement therein and has one end configured to be stationarily (preferably fixedly) connected with the movable member. The flexible cable is moved with respect to the outer cable housing by movement of the movable member upon loss of structural integrity by the thermally responsive element.

Aerial Firefighting Dump Gate System
20230211881 · 2023-07-06 ·

A dump gate system for a fluid hopper in a firefighting aircraft. A gate sealably engages a gate opening in the hopper at a closed position. The gate is hingedly connected about the gate opening, and a drive shaft is supported within the hopper. A crank arm is fixed to the drive shaft and is further coupled to the gate by a connecting link. The crank arm and the connecting link define an over-center geometry while the gate is at the closed position, such that weight of the fluid on the gate induces torque on the drive shaft in a gate-closing direction. A linear electric motor is selectively coupled to rotate the drive shaft in a gate-opening direction to thereby enable control of the fluid flow from the hopper according to an angular position of the drive shaft.

DUAL MOTION SHUTOFF VALVE

Technologies are described for dual motion shutoff valve assemblies. In various examples, valve assemblies include a sequencing drive mechanism and an eccentric shaft mechanism operable to linearly retract the valve disk from a gasket surface to effectively reduce scratching and friction of the gasket surface during valve opening and closing operations. In some examples, the sequencing drive may include two interlocking concentric driver rings, a retaining housing, and roller lock pins. Three guided pins of the sequencing drive may be configured to prevent the valve from rotating, while also causing the valve to retract linearly from the gasket surface via the eccentric shaft. Following retraction, an inner driver of the sequencing drive may allow the roller lock pins to move and lock the outer driver, which in turn may lock the valve disk to the shaft and rotate along with the shaft, which may be a single or dual shaft.
