11549415 · 2023-01-10 · ·

A valve assembly for a vehicle exhaust system includes an exhaust component body defining an exhaust gas flow path and a flap mounted to pivot in the exhaust gas flow path between a minimum flow position and a maximum flow position. At least one bushing supports the flap for rotational movement relative to the exhaust component body about an axis. In one example, a damper is positioned radially between the bushing and the flap and defines an inner diameter that is smaller than an outer diameter of the bushing. In another example, a damper is attached to the flap such that a distal edge is free from attachment to a distal edge of the flap such that as the flap returns to the minimum flow position the damper first contacts the exhaust component body and then the flap contacts the damper.

Valve with unobstructed flow path having increased flow coefficient

A valve comprising a valve body including a first end and a second end spaced apart along a longitudinal axis, a central portion disposed between the first end and the second end, wherein the first end and the second end define a first flow passageway and a second flow passageway, respectively, and wherein the central portion defines an interior chamber, a stem rotatably supported by the valve body about a rotation axis, wherein the stem includes a polygonal end, and a disc disposed within the interior chamber and including a polygonal aperture to receive the polygonal end of the stem.

A flap valve apparatus includes a main body; a valve body; and a spring member. The main body includes support shafts, and the valve body includes bearing portions. When viewed from the axial direction of the support shaft, the bearing portions has a bearing hole with an inner diameter larger than the outer diameter of the support shaft; and an introduction groove being in communication with the bearing hole from the seal surface side of the valve body. A width of the introduction groove is smaller than the outer diameter of the support shaft, but is expandable to receive the support shaft. When viewed from the axial direction of the support shaft, an opening portion of the introduction grove is positioned near the axial center of the main body.

A valve comprises a valve body, a flap, and a shaft driving the flap. At least one first bearing guides a first end of the shaft. The first end of the shaft includes an inner housing emerging axially. The first bearing includes a barrel axially engaged in the inner housing, such that no accumulation of condensates can occur in the inner housing when the first end of the shaft points downward.

FLAP VALVE FOR DIAPHRAGM PUMP

One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a flap valve in a diaphragm pump. The flap valve includes a body and a self-centering hinge portion. A front portion of the body includes a front surface having a raised portion and a recessed portion. The front surface is configured to form a seal with a surface of the pump when the body is in a closed position, the surface of the pump being at an inlet or an outlet of a pumping chamber. The body is configured to allow a downstream flow of a fluid when the flap valve is in an open position. The self-centering hinge portion is operably connected to the body. The self-centering hinge portion has a dynamically changing longitudinal axis. The body is configured to simultaneously translate and rotate about the dynamically changing longitudinal axis to form the seal.

Valve assembly

A valve assembly includes a valve body. The valve body includes a valve seat. The valve seat defines a bore therethrough. The valve body also includes a pair of end members connected to the valve body at opposing sides of the valve body. Each of the pair of end members includes a trunnion. The valve assembly further includes a valve shaft received in the trunnion of each of the pair of end members. The valve assembly includes a valve plate connected to the valve shaft. The valve plate is rotatable between a first position and a second position. The valve plate is adjacent to the valve seat when the valve assembly is in the first position.

A tapping armature for liquid containers, in particular for being connected to the outlet port or the outlet opening of a transport and storage container for liquids, the tapping armature comprising an armature housing in which a valve body pivotable by means of a valve shaft and serving to open and close a flow cross section of an outlet tube is disposed, a connection end of the valve shaft for being connected to the valve body being disposed in the outlet tube of the armature housing and an operating end of the valve shaft protruding from the armature housing through a housing dome formed on the armature housing. A form-fitting engagement is established between the housing dome and a valve shaft portion housed in the housing dome in order to axially secure the valve shaft in the armature housing.

Double eccentric valve

A double eccentric valve: a valve seat; a rotary shaft; a valve gear with a rotary shaft base end portion; a motor rotating the shaft via a valve gear; bearings supporting the shaft in a cantilever manner; a return spring giving, to the valve gear, spring force for rotating the shaft in a valve body closing direction; and a full-close stopper to restrict valve gear rotation with the shaft when the valve body is fully closed. When the motor is not driven, the valve gear partially contacts the full-close stopper by spring force, moment acting on the valve gear is caused to act on the rotary shaft with the contact point serving as a fulcrum, the rotary shaft is tilted toward the valve seat with the contact point between the rotary shaft and the bearing serving as a fulcrum, and thus, the valve body is pressed against the valve seat.
