In an embodiment of the invention, the hinge nut includes at least two portions attached to each other by a hinge pin adjacent a distal end of each portion and the two portions are configured to be moved between an open position and a closed position. The closed position forms an outer surface and an opening forming an inner surface. The inner surface includes a first interior diameter adjacent a distal end of the opening and a second interior diameter adjacent the first interior diameter. The second interior diameter is greater than the first interior diameter and forms a lip and at least a portion of the second interior diameter includes threading.

A valve assembly includes a valve body that defines an internal flow passageway between an inlet and an outlet, and a valve seat disposed in the valve body with a sealing surface perpendicular to the flow passageway. The valve assembly further includes a clapper pivotally correlated to the valve seat having a closed configuration extending across the valve seat configured to substantially close off the flow passageway, and an open configuration configured to substantially allow fluid flow in the flow passageway from the inlet to the outlet through the valve body. An annular valve seat seal is disposed within an annular groove formed in a surface of the valve seat, where the annular valve seat seal is disposed at an interface between the valve seat and the clapper when the clapper is in the closed configuration.

A valve body includes an arm inserted portion that accommodates a part of a valve arm. A relation of hx<h1 is satisfied, provided that: a surface of the valve body that is in contact with a valve seat when an opening/closing valve closes a passing hole is a sealing surface; the valve arm and the opening/closing valve are in contact with each other on a contact surface when the opening/closing valve closes the passing hole; a surface of the contact surface that is the closest to the sealing surface is a valve-closed contact surface; hx is a size of thickness from the sealing surface to the valve-closed contact surface; and h1 is a size of thickness of the valve body.

Valve with a sealing surface that minimizes wear

A valve including: a flow channel and a closure member. A first sealing surface is provided along walls of the flow channel and a second sealing surface is provided along outer edges of a sealing section of the closure member. A rotation axis is offset from the sealing section by a first predetermined distance and from a centerline of the closure member by a second predetermined distance. To ensure smooth operation of the closure member at least one of the first and second sealing surfaces has a non-conical shape that is at least in one area asymmetric with respect to the center axis of the closure member.

A butterfly valve includes a valve body, a stem, a disc, and a stopper. The valve body has a first through hole, a second through hole and a flange. An axial central line of the second through hole and an axial central line of the first through hole are perpendicular to each other. The flange radially extends from a surface surrounding the first through hole and extends into an inner side of the first through hole. The stem is accommodated inside the second through hole and extends into the first through hole. The disc is formed on a surface thereof with a first engaging portion while the stopper is formed with a second engaging portion. The first engaging portion and the second engaging portion are respectively embedded with a first part and a second part of the stem. The stopper is rotated by the stem and abuts against the flange when the disc closes an open end of the first through hole and continues to rotate.

VALVE WITH UNOBSTRUCTED FLOW PATH HAVING INCREASED FLOW COEFFICIENT

A valve comprising a valve body including a first end and a second end spaced apart along a longitudinal axis, a central portion disposed between the first end and the second end, wherein the first end and the second end define a first flow passageway and a second flow passageway, respectively, and wherein the central portion defines an interior chamber, wherein the first end of the valve body includes a bore, a valve seat disposed in the bore including a concave seating surface, and a disc rotatable within the interior chamber between an open position and a closed position, wherein the disc includes a seal having a shape corresponding to the concave seating surface and wherein the shape of the seal and the concave seating surface define an elliptical offset from a centerline of the valve.

Integral inlet port assembly

A unitary inlet port assembly for use as a closable air inlet port for an inflatable heating blanket or garment. The inlet port assembly has a port panel on the outside of blanket, having an inlet opening configured for receiving an air hose nozzle. A closure panel that is disposed within an interior portion of the inflatable heating blanket or garment, and is hinged an edge of the port panel. A latch extends from an outer-facing surface of the closure panel, to register with the inlet opening of the port panel when pivoted to a closed position. At the closed position, the outer-facing surface of the closure panel confronts and engages the inside surface of the port panel to close the air inlet port. The latch is configured to engage the annular rim of the port panel to hold the closure panel in the closed position.
