Relief valve with testing lockout
11703140 · 2023-07-18 · ·

A relief valve has a valve body, a plunger assembly coupled to the valve body for selectively opening and closing the relief valve, and a support member secured to the valve body. A lockout lever is against the support member, forming a vertex. A spring rod is coupled to the lockout lever, and a spring is coupled to the spring rod, providing a bias force against the plunger assembly to normally close the relief valve. In a lockout position, the lockout lever is moved to pivot on the vertex against the support member to further compress the spring, which increases the bias force and, in turn, a cracking pressure of the relief valve.

LIQUID PRESSURE REDUCING VALVE
20230090964 · 2023-03-23 · ·

A fluid pressure reducing valve apparatus includes a pressure reducing valve. The valve has: a body containing a fluid-flow chamber, a liquid supply orifice into the chamber, a liquid outlet from the chamber, a regulation plate opposed to the orifice, a spring acting to urge the plate towards the orifice, and a diaphragm between the plate and the body to close the chamber between them. A controllable motor drive acts between the body and an end of the spring remote from the plate. A flow meter is positioned downstream of the outlet. A controller is arranged to receive flow data from the flow meter and to control the motor drive for withdrawal of the remote end of the spring in accordance with flow rate measured by the flow meter. For an increase in demand flow, the plate is partially withdrawn to maintain downstream pressure on such increase and vice versa.

ENCLOSURE CONTAINING AN INERTING GAS AND COMPRISING A LIQUID DISCHARGING SYSTEM, AIRCRAFT HAVING SUCH AN ENCLOSURE
20230127600 · 2023-04-27 ·

An enclosure containing an inerting gas and at least one liquid to be discharged. This enclosure comprises at least one orifice positioned in its lower part and a liquid discharging system positioned at the orifice. This liquid discharging system is configured to take up a closed state and an open state in which the system allows the liquid to flow towards the outside of the enclosure and includes at least one element that is elastically deformable depending on the pressure inside the enclosure and, depending on its deformation, controls the open or closed state of the liquid discharging system. This solution makes it possible to achieve simple and automatic regulation of the volume of the liquid in the enclosure, without a sensor. An aircraft including at least one such enclosure is also provided.

MANUAL RESET ACTUATOR
20220057007 · 2022-02-24 · ·

A manual reset actuator includes a main drain, a diaphragm release aperture fluidly coupled to a flow control valve, an upper chamber, a control port, a control orifice, an upper chamber supply orifice, and a sealing assembly, which includes a button, and a plunger. A pressure in the upper chamber exerts a downward force on the plunger. A spring exerts an upward force on the plunger. The fluid in the upper chamber is released via the control orifice, which lowers the pressure in the upper chamber, decreasing the downward force exerted on the plunger. When the downward force is less than the upward force, the spring forces the plunger upwards into an open configuration, which unseals the diaphragm release aperture. When the upward force is less than the downward force, the plunger remains in a closed configuration, which keeps the diaphragm release aperture sealed.

Backflow prevention device with reduced pressure zone

A backflow prevention device with reduced pressure zone to be installed in water systems is provided and comprises a body provided with inlet, outlet and exhaust openings, a check assembly with a stem, an elastic element, and a plate, a mobile diaphragm or membrane adapted to interrupt the fluid connection between the outlet opening and inlet opening and between said inlet opening and exhaust opening, wherein said stem of said check assembly is stabilized with respect to said body, and said plate is slidably disposed along the stem and is cooperatively placed with the mobile diaphragm or membrane in order to interrupt the fluid connection between said inlet opening and said outlet opening.

Bi-Directional Relief Valve

A bi-directional valve has an inlet with an outlet that may interchangeably applied to a pressure source and still operate properly. A spring applies a bias to a concave diaphragm against a cover plate in a non-relieving configuration to seal an inlet relative to an outlet. The cover plate may have ports with a shallower attack angle than prior art designs. Those ports may also have different shapes to facilitate significantly more flow permitting at least some better performance characteristics than prior art designs.
