The piston body is connected to the piston rod and is configured to reciprocate within the cylinder between a compression chamber and a rebound chamber. The valve is provided by the piston body having a fluid flow port, a valve seat, a circumferential valving element, and a spring configured to urge the valve body into the valve seat. A primary damping valve and an auxiliary damping valve are also provided.

A pressure relief valve is located in the pressure relief passage. The pressure relief valve closes the pressure relief passage, if a pressure of the working fluid in the outflow passage is lower than, is equal to, and is higher by a pressure difference less than a predetermined relief pressure than a pressure of the working fluid in the inflow passage. The pressure relief valve opens the pressure relief passage, if the pressure of the working fluid in the outflow passage is higher by a pressure difference equal to or higher than the relief pressure than a pressure of the working fluid in the inflow passage.

An electromagnetic valve is configured with an electromagnetic section, a flow path section, and a sealing member between them. This separate arrangement improves a degree of freedom for arranging inflow and/or outflow passage. This separate arrangement also enables to reduce a size of the electromagnetic section. A plunger comes in contact with a central portion of a spherical portion of a valve member. A normally open compression spring comes in contact with a peripheral portion of the valve member. The valve member can be reliably seated on the normally close valve seat even if the plunger is slightly tilted.

A mechanical bypass for a shock assembly is disclosed herein. The assembly has a damper chamber having a compression portion and a rebound portion. There is further an external reservoir in fluid communication with the rebound portion of the damper chamber via a flow path. A valve is coupled with the flow path, the valve to meter a flow of the working fluid through the flow path. A bypass port to the external reservoir is provided in the flow path and bypasses the valve. A mechanical relief valve is provided in the bypass port to block a fluid flow though the bypass port until a blow-off pressure that is higher than a normal operating pressure and less than a burst pressure of the damping chamber is provided thereon.

A combined valve for insertion into an elongated bore of a power unit body of a hydraulic power unit may have an elongated carrier for receiving a relief and a check valve. The valve may also have a register arranged at a first axial position of a longitudinal axis of the carrier for calibration of the relief valve. The valve may also have a check valve coupled to the carrier at a second axial position along the longitudinal axis of the carrier. The valve may also have a relief valve coupled to the carrier at a third axial position along the longitudinal axis of the carrier. A minimal distance between the first and the second axial position may be less than a minimal distance between the first and the third axial position.

The closure resisting mechanism operates automatically and is spring actuated in response to pressure within a fluid pathway of the regulator. The closure resisting mechanism is disposed external to the fluid pathway so as not to impede fluid flow.

A bypass valve assembly includes a housing having an inlet, an outlet, and a flow passageway to allow flow of a liquid from the inlet to the outlet and a valve seat disposed about the flow passageway between the inlet and the outlet. A movable poppet is disposed in the housing to engage the valve seat in a closed position and to disengage the valve seat in an open position when pressure of the liquid in the flow passageway exceeds a preset value to allow flow of the liquid through the flow passageway. A rotatable flow control valve is disposed in the housing between the inlet and the outlet. An actuator is coupled to the flow control valve to actuate and move the flow control valve to control flow of the liquid between the inlet and the outlet when the poppet is engaged with the valve seat.
