PRESSURE REFERENCED VALVE
20230027703 · 2023-01-26 ·

A referenced pressure valve for a fluid system having a housing including: an inner wall enclosing a cavity providing fluid communication between the inlet and the outlet; a rim in the cavity defining a bypass passage circumscribed outwardly by the inner wall and inwardly by the rim, an upstream passage located between an upstream end of the cavity and the rim, and a downstream passage located between the rim and a downstream end of the cavity. A rib extends outwardly from the rim to the inner wall through the bypass passage, and a piston assembly, received within a chamber circumscribed outwardly by the rim, includes a piston movable relative to the rim between a position in which the piston obstructs the flow path at the upstream passage and a position in which the piston is at least partially clear of the path to permit flow along the path.

Pilot-pressure-controlled flow valve and fluid system containing same

In a thermal fluid system, a control valve includes a flow valve and a solenoid pilot valve. The flow valve has an inlet and an outlet; a control chamber for receiving a pilot pressure; and a valve member operable by the pilot pressure to selectively open and close a fluid path from the inlet to the outlet. The pilot pressure acts in a closing direction of the flow valve. The pilot valve provides the pilot pressure to the control chamber and is a 3/2 way valve with a first port in fluid communication with the control chamber, a second port to be connected to a pressure source, and a third port. The pilot valve has a first position connecting the first port with the second port and a second position connecting the first port with the third port.

Hydrostatically adjustable valve and associated system

The present disclosure relates to a hydrostatically adjustable flow control valve. In one embodiment, the valve includes a fixed sleeve that slidably receives a spool. A spring biases the spool relative to the fixed sleeve. A primary orifice is used to deliver fluid to the interior area of the fixed sleeve and spool. A control device is used to selectively vary the rate at which fluid drains from the interior area. Draining the fluid results in the spool being received within the interior of the fixed sleeve. The movement of the spool opens flow ports within the sleeve. This, in turn, allows fluid to exit the valve. Conversely, the control device can be set to prevent fluid drainage. This results in the spool extending from interior of the fixed sleeve, the closure of the flow ports, and the sealing of the valve.

Relief valve

A relief valve includes: a housing; a plunger movable to each of a closed position and an open position; a differential pressure chamber; a spring member; a piston; and a damping chamber. The plunger includes a first damping passage penetrating the plunger and bringing an area outside the plunger and a through passage into communication. The piston includes a second damping passage penetrating the piston and bringing an area inside the piston and the damping chamber into communication. A communication space connected to each of the first damping passage and the second damping passage is formed between the plunger and the piston.

Relief valve with position indication

A surge relief valve includes a piston housing and a piston located within the housing for reciprocal motion. The surge relief valve also includes a position sensor to resolve the axial position of the piston relative to the piston housing. The position sensor includes a sensor body coupled to the piston housing and a movable element configured to move linearly relative to the sensor body and configured to move axially with the piston. At a least portion of the sensor body is located within the piston housing.

Counterbalance valve with dual or triple pilot ratio

Novel Counterbalance valves, more particularly, to counterbalance valves that provide hold, capture, and motion control benefits of prior art CB valves while improving upon one or more performance characteristics of current CB valves are herein disclosed. The novel counterbalance valves are useful, inter alia, for providing good system stability across a range of load pressures and/or reducing power consumption (improving energy efficiencies) as compared with prior art devices.

Overload protection device and high-speed dental handpiece comprising same

The overload protection device used on a high-speed dental handpiece includes a valve body, a piston, an elastic member, and a valve plug. The valve body is provided with an air chamber and an air intake passage in communication with each other. The piston is arranged in the air chamber. The valve plug is arranged at an end of the air chamber away from the air intake passage and is connected with the valve body. The elastic member is arranged between the piston and the valve plug. An outer surface of the valve body is provided with a plurality of air discharging holes which is in communication with the air chamber. The piston is capable of opening or closing the air discharging holes when moving vertically within the air chamber. The present invention further discloses a high-speed dental handpiece with an overload protection device.

Devices and methods for extracting a beverage from a container, such as a wine bottle. Beverage can be extracted from a container by inserting a needle through a container closure, such as a cork, delivering pressurized gas into the container via the needle, and dispensing beverage from the container via the needle. A pressure regulator may control a pressure of gas introduced into the container, and a lance used to pierce a pressurized gas cylinder may include a leading face arranged to reliably pierce a cylinder closure. The regulator may include valve features to reduce valve chatter or hammering and provide a more reliable pressure seal.
