ELECTRICALLY CONTROLLED VALVE ACTUATOR
20210140557 · 2021-05-13 · ·

One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for an actuator design that comprises a compact package, a more efficient use of power, and dual manual overrides for easy access. An electrically operated motor provides rotational power to a series of gears in a gearbox. The gears reduce speed and increase torque, and rotate a worm shaft gear that is engaged with a worm gear. The worm shaft gear is disposed parallel to the motor, and the worm gear rotates at a ninety degree angle from the rotation of the motor. The worm gears is coupled with a trunnion, which is engaged with a ball of a valve. Rotation provided by the motor to the gears is transferred to the worm shaft gear, which provides rotation to the worm gear, to the trunnion, resulting in rotation of the ball in the valve.

Apparatus and method for cooling engine

A valve body of a flow rate control valve includes a fin having a flow formation surface that forms a flow of coolant from a liquid chamber toward a heater port in accordance with rotation of the valve body. An engine cooling apparatus is configured to rotate and drive the valve body alternately in a positive direction and a negative direction from when an engine is automatically stopped to when the engine is automatically restarted so that a heater core is supplied with coolant when the engine is automatically stopped.

Apparatus is provided for electro-mechanically fluctuating the position of a ball valve/ball valve stem. The said apparatus can electronically turn the ball valve smoothly and effectively to any position in response to the input signal provided by a microcontroller interfacing with a motor driver controller. The apparatus control inputs will range from: voice command, push buttons, motion sensor, android, and/or touchscreen. An input means to send signals to the microcontroller, which send a signal to the stepper motor driver circuit, which send a signal to control the Stepper motor, which will maneuver a machined made driveshaft to operate the momentum of the ball valve/ball valve shaft for accurate and precise liquescent output.

Electric ball valve mechanism

A well system includes a wellhead positionable at a surface of a wellbore. The well system also includes a ball valve for coupling to the wellhead. The ball valve is movable between an open position and a closed position. Further, the well system includes a hollow core electric motor positionable adjacent to the ball valve to move the ball valve between the open position and the closed position. Furthermore, the well system includes a power source that provides electric power to the hollow core electric motor.

VALVE

A valve including a housing having a coil therein; a seat in the housing; a ball disposed against the seat, the ball rotationally responsive to a magnetic field generated in the coil.

A valve actuation mechanism comprises a housing, an actuation pin rotatably mounted within the housing and at least one torque spring coupling the actuation pin to the housing for biasing the actuation pin from a first, inoperative rotational position towards a second, operative rotational position. The mechanism further comprises an actuation pin retaining element for selectively retaining the actuation pin in its first position, the retaining element being engageable with the actuation pin and the housing when the retaining element is in a retaining position so as to prevent rotation of the actuation pin towards its second position, and selectively disengageable from the housing to permit rotation of the actuation pin towards its second position. A locking element is provided for selectively preventing disengagement of the retaining element from the housing.

Retrofit motorized actuator for remote fluid control

A retrofit motorized actuator assembly is attachable to a portion of a fluid pipe having a manually actuated valve connected in series. The valve includes a cantilevered valve handle manually rotatable about a valve axis. The retrofit motorized actuator assembly includes a motorized actuator including a drive shaft extension rotatably controllable by the motorized actuator about a drive shaft axis. A mounting assembly is configured to fixedly attach to the portion of the fluid pipe and also fixedly position the motorized actuator wherein the drive shaft axis of the motorized actuator is aligned with the valve axis. A quick connect clamp is configured to fixedly attach together both the drive shaft extension and the cantilevered valve handle. The quick connect clamp is configured to be attachable and removable with just the use of a user's hands without the need for auxiliary tools.

VALVE ASSEMBLY

A valve assembly for an oil, gas or water well, the valve assembly comprising a conduit having a bore; a valve closure member movable on a rotational path around a pivot axis to open and close the bore; a drive member movable on a linear path; and a drive train transmitting force between the drive member and the valve closure member; wherein the drive train comprises a plurality of bearing devices (e.g. ball bearings) constrained in a bearing track. Moving the drive member rotates the valve closure member (e.g. a ball valve) between open and closed configurations to open and close a fluid flowpath in the well. The actuating assembly can be actuated between different configurations using differential fluid pressure, optionally transmitted in an annulus of the well.
