Non-parallel multi-bore sealing device

An apparatus for sealing at least one hub bore of a multi-bore fluid hub associated with a wellhead assembly includes a plug body having a plug bore opening on an outer mating surface. A plug bore extends from a first end of the plug body to the plug bore opening. The plug body is selectively insertable into a hub housing of the multi-bore fluid hub. An insert is in engagement with the outer mating surface and is moveable relative to the plug body between an unengaged position, and an engaged position where the insert seals across one of the hub bores. A stem member is coupled to the plug body and is moveable to selectively rotate the plug body within the multi-bore fluid hub so that the plug bore opening aligns with one of the hub bores and the insert aligns with another of the hub bores.

A rotary valve and a quick exhaust valve for a railway vehicle in which high sealability and operability at the time of valve opening and closing are ensured. Outflow/inflow ports (10, 11) and a discharge port (12) are formed in a valve body accommodating part having a spherical surface part or a tapered surface part formed on part of an inner periphery in a body (2), and a valve body (3) is rotatably inserted from an opening which is open from the valve body accommodating part. A spherically-shaped surface part or a tapered-shaped surface part is formed at a position opposing the spherical surface part or the tapered surface part, a plurality of through ports communicating the outflow/inflow ports or the discharge port and an attachment groove opposing the outflow/inflow ports in a direction crossing the through ports are formed, and a seal member is attached to the attachment groove.

TORQUE REDUCTION VALVE HAVING SEPARATE STATIC SEAL AND DYNAMIC SEAL

A valve assembly includes a plug extending along a central axis and including a plug body having an external plug surface. The external plug surface tapers radially outwardly in a first direction along the central axis. The valve assembly further includes a sleeve having an internal sleeve surface defining an interior cavity. The internal sleeve surface tapers radially outwardly in the first direction. The plug body is positioned within the interior cavity of the sleeve. The plug is rotatable about the central axis relative to the sleeve, and the plug is also translatable along the central axis relative to the sleeve.

Arrangement for operating a shut-off valve having a tapered plug

Arrangement for actuating shut-off valve with tapered plug, has housing in which hollow actuating cylinder is coaxially supported for rotation and with an actuating shaft aligned with the coaxial axis firmly attached. Output cylinder is coaxially arranged in hollow actuating cylinder. The output cylinder is movable relative to hollow drive cylinder axially and radially. Spindle is attached on output cylinder opposite actuating shaft and aligned with coaxial axis; tapered plug being fastened on end of spindle facing away from output cylinder. At least one radially outwardly directed pin is arranged on outer peripheral surface of output cylinder. Outer surfaces of housing and hollow actuating cylinder have each at least one guideway extending over radial sector of outer surfaces, with which pin is operatively connected as a respective sliding block. At least the guideway arranged in outer surface of hollow actuating cylinder is formed as a through-opening through which pin passes.

LOW TORQUE VALVE
20240183453 · 2024-06-06 ·

A low torque rotary valve for a vehicle cooling system is provided. The rotary valve includes a tapered valve body that can be lifted during rotation and thereafter seated after being rotated the desired amount. An axial surface of the tapered valve body is in sliding contact with an axial surface of a valve housing or a rotatable disk. As the tapered valve body rotates, one or more ramped projections cause the tapered valve body to displace axially within the valve housing. The sealing members are uncompressed during rotation of the tapered valve body, and a lower torque demand is required, thereby allowing for a smaller and less costly motor actuator.

Isolation valve with a dead chamber
