CONDUIT ANCHOR
20230039550 · 2023-02-09 ·

Disclosed is conduit anchor, an offshore system comprising a conduit anchor and a method of deployment. The conduit anchor includes a base section adapted for attachment to a conduit, and a conduit guide extending from the base section. In use a dynamic conduit extends along a dynamic conduit pathway range defined by the anchor, via the conduit guide. The conduit guide comprises a convex bend protecting surface region oriented towards the dynamic conduit pathway range which in use protects against over bending of the dynamic conduit.

A pipe mounting system comprising support cables is provided for use in mounting an above-ground elevated pipe or an underwater pipe. The pipe mounting system includes a suspended composite pipeline and a support cable. Multiple cable carriers are provided to carry the support cable along the length of the pipeline, and cradles or rings are provided that extend from the cable carriers and receive and support the pipeline.

Method for controlling buckling in deepwater pipeline with inclined sleepers

A method for controlling buckling in subsea pipelines involves identifying spaced-apart sections of a subsea pipeline suitable for controlled lateral buckling. Sets of inclined sleepers are installed at each spaced-apart section and are selected to support the spaced-apart sections of the subsea pipeline in an orientation that is perpendicular to the initial as-laid position. Any buckling caused by thermal expansion of the subsea pipeline is distributed to two or more of the spaced-apart sections, causing the two or more spaced-apart sections to deflect laterally along the inclined sleepers outwardly from an initial as-laid position.

An underwater anchoring assembly and method for supporting a pipe with the underwater anchoring assembly are disclosed. The underwater anchoring assembly includes a first pile, a second pile, a first cross-member coupled with the first and second piles, and a second cross-member rotatably coupled with the first pile at a first end portion thereof, and detachably coupled with the second pile at a second end portion thereof. The method includes advancing the underwater anchoring assembly into the ground in an unactuated state, positioning the first cross-member above the pipe, rotating the second cross-member about the first pile such that the pipe is interposed between the first and second cross-members, and coupling the second end portion of the second cross-member with the second pile via a fastening mechanism to thereby support the pipe.
