A marked guide includes an elongated body having a bendable core with a length dimension and made of material that is bendable along the length dimension to selectively form various bent shapes, and that retains the bent shapes without external support. The elongated body also has at least one layer of second material provided around the core, the second material being elastomeric or resiliently flexible. An outer surface of the body has a plurality of markings, including a first line marking positioned at a 0-degree point, a second line marking positioned at a 90-degree point, a third line marking positioned at a 180-degree point and a fourth line marking positioned at a 270-degree point.

TUBING MARKERS

Tube markers for use in infusion sets are provided. An infusion tube includes a tube marker positioned from a tube end at a distance equal to the distance between an external edge and a hard stop of a fluid port of an infusion set component. The tube marker provides an external visual indicator of the fit between the infusion tube and the infusion set component, such as whether there is a gap between the end of the infusion tube and hard stop of the fluid port. The tube marker may be pad printed or laser etched on the tube. The tube marker may also be a tube sleeve over molded or heat shrunk onto the tube. Methods of providing tube markers are also provided.

A polymeric product with at least one surface subject to wear or abrasion, at least a portion of which product includes microcapsules of an indicator substance which is released to indicate a state of wear has been reached. The microencapsulated indicator substance may be a fragrance or a colorant. The indicating portion or zone may be a layer or a thin sheet of microcapsules in rubber or in the polymeric material making up the body of the product. There may be more than one indicating layer or zone in the product. The various zones may contain different fragrances or colorants, which may provide progressive indication of the state of wear.

TUBE WITH INDICATION FUNCTION

A tube with indication function is provided, including a reflection layer and an organization layer. The reflection layer is located on the outermost layer of the tube. The reflection layer is transparent and includes a number of reflectors that are capable of reflecting light densely distributed therein. With the tube being set up in a dark environment and irradiated with light, the light may transmit through the transparent reflection layer to reach the reflectors distributed in the reflection layer such that the reflectors reflect the light back to project the light outward. The reflection of light makes the tube noticeable to achieve an effect of indication, allowing a user to visually identify the location of the tube.
