Piping connections and connection sockets
A connection socket for a tubular connection includes a socket cup having a metal alloy composition and a sealing portion. A primary seal is positioned within the sealing portion. The primary seal includes an elastomeric material having a service temperature. One or more spacer rings are positioned within the sealing portion. A secondary seal is positioned within the sealing portion. The secondary seal includes a metal composition, wherein the secondary seal has a melting temperature at or above the service temperature of the primary seal. One or more locking rings are positioned within the sealing portion, wherein each of the one or more locking rings comprises a biting feature defined along an internal circumference of the locking ring.
TUBE COUPLING
A tube coupling for coupling a first tube and a second tube. The tube coupling includes an inner shroud including a ball portion and an outer shroud including a socket portion. The socket portion receives the ball portion. The tube coupling includes a compressive ring configured to elastically compress the outer shroud onto the inner shroud. The ball portion and the socket portion form a ball and socket joint. The ball and socket joint allows relative angular movement and relative axial movement between the inner shroud and the outer shroud.
Press fitting device, components and method
A press fitting device, components and method provide one or more indicators to provide a visual indication that the fitting has been properly pressed around a tube and that the correct amount of pressure has been provided to create a permanent seal. In embodiments, a sealing ring is retained within an indentation of a main body component of the fitting and the sealing ring is expandable upon compression to be visible through an opening in the main body component.
TUBULAR CONNECTOR
A push-to-connect fitting is provided. The push-to-connect fitting includes a connector body, a sealing member, a grab ring, a cartridge, a retainer sleeve, a plurality of latches, and an interference portion. The sealing member is configured to form a sealing engagement with a fluid conduit. The grab ring includes a plurality of teeth configured for coupling to the fluid conduit. The retainer sleeve is received over at least part of the cartridge and is received over at least part of the connector body. The plurality of latches are located on the retainer sleeve and are configured to secure the retainer sleeve to the connector body to facilitate retention of the sealing member, the grab ring, and the cartridge. The interference portion is configured to engage the retainer sleeve to substantially prevent rotation of the retainer sleeve relative to the connector body.
Fitting apparatus for connecting pipes
A fitting apparatus for connecting pipes according to the present invention includes a fitting unit which includes a first body into which a first pipe is inserted and a second body which is connected to the first body to form a pipe insertion space therein together with the first body and into which a second pipe is inserted, wherein in the first body and the second body, a first recessed groove and a second recessed groove spaced apart inward from the first recessed groove are formed along an inner circumferential surface thereof, respectively, a compression member which is provided in the first recessed groove to compress and fix the first pipe or the second pipe, and a sealing member which is provided in the second recessed groove to maintain airtightness between the fitting unit and the first pipe or between the fitting unit and the second pipe.
COMPONENT WITH PRESS FITTING
A press-fitting component (1) including at least one main body (2) having at least one inlet (4), at least one outlet (5) and at least one channel (3) connecting the inlet (4) with the outlet (5), as well as at least one press-fitting (90) defined in correspondence of at least one of the outlet (5) and the inlet (4) of the main body (2). The press fitting further comprises a predetermined number of projections (9) emerging internally from the main body (2) and made in one piece with the main body (2). A process of assembling the component (1) with a pipe and a process of manufacturing the component (1).
Fluid transfer assembly
A fluid transfer assembly is described that includes a fitting comprising a lumen having an opening, and at least one barb, the at least one barb extending circumferentially around the lumen proximate to the opening. The assembly also includes a flexible conduit, a deformable sleeve, and an elastomeric liner disposed between the sleeve and the conduit. The fitting extends at least partially into the conduit such that the conduit extends over the at least one barb. The elastomeric liner applies substantially 360 degree radial pressure to the conduit such that the conduit is sealingly compressed around the at least one barb of the fitting. The assembly is fluid tight up to a burst pressure of the conduit.
Crimp fitting for medical gas piping and method of use
A crimp fitting has a monolithic and homogeneous female socket configured to receive and be crimped to an end portion of a tube. The socket comprises an annular wall and an axial opening. The annular wall comprises at least one internal shoulder that protrudes radially inward from the annular wall. A seal ring in the female socket has a C-shaped cross section and is configured to be arranged around the end portion of the tube to be joined with the fitting. The C-shaped seal ring compresses against the internal shoulder after the fitting is crimped with the tube with the C-shaped seal ring arranged around the end of the tube.
PRESS FITTING DEVICE, COMPONENTS AND METHOD
A press fitting device, components and method provide one or more indicators to provide a visual indication that the fitting has been properly pressed around a tube and that the correct amount of pressure has been provided to create a permanent seal. In embodiments, a sealing ring and a latching band are retained within a main body component of the fitting and the latching band can be formed with a radially inwardly extending latch that extends through an opening in the sealing ring.
PROFILED LEAK-BEFORE-PRESS SEALING RING FOR A PRESS FITTING WITH ARC-SHAPED FIRST TYPE RING PORTIONS ALTERNATING WITH LINEAR-SHAPED SECOND TYPE RING PORTIONS
A profiled leak-before-press sealing ring includes a plurality of arc-shaped first and linear-shaped second type ring portions that lie alternating around a center axis. The second type ring portions extend linear-shaped with straight inner and outer surfaces in a tangential direction. The first type ring portions have curved inner and outer surfaces of constant radii around the center axis. The ring further includes a plurality of third type ring portions that extend arc-shaped in between respective ones of the arc-shaped first and linear-shaped second type ring portions, and that each connect with its head ends to head ends of neighbouring ones of the first and second type ring portions. The arc-shaped first, the linear-shaped second, and the arc-shaped third type ring portions all have a same evenly large dimensioned cross-sectional shape.
