Disclosed is a fitting (1) for use with corrugated tubing (2) having a series of peaks (3) and valleys (4). The fitting (1) comprises a nut (5) having a passage (6) therethrough for receiving the tubing (2) and at least one retainer (7) arranged in the nut (5), wherein the retainer (7) has a retainer sealing surface (8) for placement in a valley (4) of the corrugated tubing (2). The fitting (1) further comprises a body (9) having a pointy annular body sealing edge (10) arranged so that the apex (11) of the body sealing edge (10) is pressed against the retainer sealing surface (8) when the nut (5) and the body (9) are forced toward each other. A method for connecting corrugated tubing (2) to a fitting (1) comprising a nut (5), a retainer (7) and a body (9) and use of a fitting (1) is also disclosed.

PIPE JOINT

A pipe joint includes first and second sleeves having fluid flow paths communicating with each other; an annular gasket interposed between abutting end surfaces of the sleeves; a male screw member having a through hole into which the first sleeve is inserted; and a female screw member having a through hole into which the second sleeve is inserted, the sleeves being joined by screwing the male screw member with the female screw member, wherein the pipe joint has a leak port opened at a portion of the outer peripheral surface of the male screw member not covered by the female screw member and communicates with a gap between the male screw member and the first sleeve to detect a leak fluid leaked from gaps between the sleeves and the gasket.

A fluid connector in a fluid joint assembly such as in a machine hydraulic system includes a connector body having a stem with a seal face extending circumferentially around a connector axis at a backup sealing location. A non-metallic seal is upon the stem and extends circumferentially around the connector axis at a primary sealing location. The fluid connector also includes a swivel nut including threads and a snap retainer and supported for rotation upon the stem. The fluid connector can establish a primary sealing state by way of hand installation, and can be torqued to a backup sealing state to provide a robust metal-to-metal seal.

Dual containment fitting and dual containment fitting assembly

A dual containment fitting may include a primary tubing, a secondary tubing, and a dual containment body. The secondary tubing may surround and be concentric with a first portion of the primary tubing forming a first leak containment space between the primary tubing and the secondary tubing. The dual containment body may include a flare fitting portion and a primary containment nut portion. The flare fitting portion may surround and be concentric with the primary tubing forming a second leak containment space between the primary tubing and the flare fitting portion. The primary containment nut portion may surround and be concentric with the flared end of the primary tubing forming a third leak containment space between the primary tubing and the primary containment nut portion. The primary containment nut portion may include at least one leak passage hole connecting the third leak containment space with the second leak containment space.
