Connector assembly
A connector assembly (608) for a length of corrugated tubing (601) having an inner corrugated element (602) and an outer flexible sheath layer (603). The connector assembly (608) comprises a fitting (609) including a fluid-flow passage and an abutment surface (612) for the corrugated tubing (601) to seat thereon; axial loading means operably connectable to the fitting (609), the axial loading means including a connector (613) and a collet (610), the collet (610) having a radially inward protruding clamping element (611) for insertion into a trough (606) of the inner corrugated element (602), and a sheath-contact portion (625) for engaging the outer sheath layer (603), so that, when the connector (613) moves the collet (610) into engagement with the fitting (609), the collet (610) causes the corrugated element (602) to move onto the abutment surface (612) whilst maintaining engagement with the outer sheath layer (603). The sheath-contact portion (625) is axially positionable between the inner corrugated element (602) and the outer sheath layer (603) of the corrugated tubing (601), in use.
Fluid conduits with selectively coated surfaces
A fluid conduit system a first conduit section having a first conduit bore extending from a first end of the first conduit section to a second end of the first conduit section, the first conduit bore including a first beveled surface proximate the first end of the first conduit section. The fluid system also includes a second conduit section coupled to the first conduit section and having a second conduit bore extending from a first end of the second conduit section to a second end of the second conduit section, the second conduit bore including a second beveled surface proximate the first end of the second conduit section. The fluid system further includes a coating applied to the first beveled surface and to the second beveled surface.
METHOD FOR TREATING A PIPE, PIPE AND PIPE CONNECTION DEVICE
A method for treating a pipe, in particular a motor vehicle pipe, wherein a flare is generated at least at one pipe end of the pipe. At least areas of the flare are provided with at least one layer, which changes the friction properties of the coated surface of the flare. The flare is coated by means of plasma coating.
CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY

CONVEX MALE FITTING AND SYSTEMS
Embodiments of the invention are directed to a male connector for establishing a line-seal for transport of fluids between pipes. The male connector is structured to increase a seating pressure of the line-seal. The male connector comprises a male portion provided at one end of the male connector. The male portion typically comprises a conical sealing frustum provided at one end of the male connector, such that the conical sealing frustum comprises convex sides. Moreover, the male connector is structured to be operatively coupled to a predetermined female connector such that the conical sealing frustum forms a substantially line-seal with the predetermined female connector for transport of a process fluid therethrough.
TUBE FITTING AND TUBE EQUIPPED WITH TUBE FITTING
A tube fitting is provided with a resin coating layer over a coated region surfaces of a threaded portion and a contact portion. The resin coating layer includes a polyethylene based substance, a lubricant, and solid particles. When mass per unit area w (g/m.sup.2) is defined as a value obtained by dividing the mass difference between a state with the resin coating layer and a state without the resin coating layer by the surface area of the coated region, the mass per unit area w satisfies a relation 0.79<w<10.07.
