A seal assembly includes a connector body having an open end configured for receiving a free end of a pipe and an adaptor for securing at the free end of the pipe. The adaptor has a first ring, configured to be mounted around the circumference of the free end of a pipe, and a second ring configured to cooperate with the first ring in order to drive the first ring into engagement with an outer surface of the pipe. A mechanical interlock arrangement is configured for driving the adaptor in the direction of the connector body, when the adaptor is secured at the free end of the pipe. The mechanical interlock arrangement is further configured for preventing or limiting axial movement of the pipe relative to the connector body, when the adaptor is secured to the outer surface of the pipe and when the free end of the pipe is in sealing contact with a metal seal surface of the connector body.

JOINT PIPE

[Problem] To provide a pipe joint allowing reliable connection to a pipe P without flaring.

[Means of solving problem] The pipe joint includes a flare joint body 1F, a cap nut 2, and a stop ring 3. A curved pressure-contacting slope surface 32 of the stop ring 3 contacts a slope surface 5 with reduced-diameter tip of the flare joint body 1F under pressure to establish sealing by means of mutual contact between metallic surfaces. The pipe P is grasped in a tightly pressure-contacting state using a back tooth and a front tooth formed at a tip head 37 of a substantially cylindrical thin part 35 of the stop ring 3.

Compression pipe fitting with wide range grip rings
11635159 · 2023-04-25 · ·

Compression fittings for pipes having a range of diameters, including a support body with a central section between end sections, the central section having a smaller diameter than the end sections, with a transition surface between the central section and each end section. A gasket fits over a pipe and engages one of the support body end section end surfaces. A fitting nut is movable axially over the support body to draw the support body and the gasket together in the axial direction and bias the gasket radially inward against the pipe. A grip ring encircles the pipe at one gasket end and has a surface engaging the fitting nut whereby the fitting nut biases the grip ring radially inwardly toward the pipe. An insert adapter has a hub with a radially extending flange may block the other gasket end to load the gasket between its axial ends.

A torque operable conduit union and mating spanner wrench are shown for the hammerless coupling of the ends of abutting fluid conduits, such as pipe, hoses, and fittings. A union nut body has an upper peripheral planar face, a lower peripheral planar face and a circumferential side wall. The circumferential side wall has a series of protuberances extending outwardly therefrom which define at least two circumferentially spaced wrench receiving formations. Each of the wrench receiving formations includes a slot portion which communicates with a transverse opening portion of the formation. The mating spanner wrench has a bridge region which spans certain of the receiving formations and engaging tangs which engage the slot portions of the formations for applying torque to the union nut.

Compressible coupling

A coupling comprises an inner body having an interior bore configured to receive a tube or the like. A collar is arranged to be axially received about the inner body. The collar being configured such that when it is forced onto the inner body, it applies a circumferential compressive force to deform the body inwardly. At least one interior annular projection defines one or more annular teeth arranged such that when a tube is received in the bore and the inner body is inwardly deformed by the collar, the one or more annular teeth engage the tube to seal with it. The inner surface of the bore comprises a plurality of circumferentially arranged projections defining a series of circumferentially spaced teeth axially spaced from the at least one annular protuberance and configured to engage the tube following compression of the inner body by the collar to prevent relative rotation between the tube and the inner body.
