A seal assembly for an HVAC system includes a first block having a first aperture and a first sealing surface, a second block having a second aperture and a second sealing, and a conduit having a tube portion with an axially extending aperture and a flange extending radially outwardly from an end of the tube portion. The tube portion is disposed within the first aperture of the first block and the flange is disposed between the first sealing surface of the first block and the second sealing surface of the second block and is configured to deform when compressed therebetween. The seal assembly further includes an insert providing fluid communication between the aperture of the tube portion and the second aperture of the second block. A first end of the insert is received in the aperture of the tube portion of the conduit.

The present invention relates generally to a kit for coupling a first pipe to a second pipe. The kit includes an elastomeric coupling sleeve provided with top and bottom ends sized to snugly fit within the respective first and second pipes. The coupling sleeve includes top, intermediate and bottom portions and an inner surface that defines a passageway. A first passageway portion extends between the top and intermediate portions and a second passageway portion extends between the intermediate and bottom portions. The first passageway portion tapers toward the intermediate portion and has threading formed along the inner surface. The second passageway portion tapers toward the intermediate portion and has threading formed along the inner surface. The kit also includes top and bottom rigid expansion rings that have threading formed along their outer surfaces configured for engagement with the threading formed along the inner surface of the first and second passageway portions, respectively. When operatively connecting the coupling sleeve to the first and second pipes, each expansion ring is threadingly engageable with the associated portion of the coupling sleeve so as to urge the coupling sleeve in the region of the expansion ring to bulge outwardly and seal the coupling sleeve against the respective first and second pipe.

The pre-assembled plumbing system may be used to convey gas to, for example, a fire pit, outdoor gas grill, fire bowl, gas lighting, and fire tables. The pre-assembled plumbing system may be easily installed and may include a flexible gas pipe, a transition riser, and a lead-in assembly. Further, the lead-in assembly may include a swivel joint configured to provide 360 degrees of multi-plane range of motion. The plumbing system may be coiled for storage and then transported to a site. Advantageously, the plumbing system is manufactured and sold as a single pre-assembled unit, thereby facilitating the ease and speed with which the plumbing system can be installed.
