Mechanical joint restraint
A method of using a mechanical joint restraint includes inserting an end of a pipe length into a gland bore of a gland, a ring bore of a gripping ring, and a gasket bore of a gasket, the gland, the gripping ring, and the gasket together forming the mechanical joint restraint; inserting at least a portion of the gasket of the mechanical joint restraint into a socket of a piping element; inserting the end of the pipe length into the socket of the piping element; and drawing the gland towards a flange of the piping element to compress the gasket into sealing engagement with the piping element and the pipe length.
Wing hinge coupling device
An agricultural implement including a frame with a main frame section and at least one wing frame section such that the agricultural implement is configured for transitioning in between a work position and a transport position, at least one conveyance line, and at least one coupling device. The at least one coupling device includes a first coupling member attached to the first line portion and a second coupling member movably connected to the first coupling member and attached to the second line portion such that the at least one coupling device couples the first line portion and the second line portion of the at least one conveyance line in the work position and uncouples the first line portion and the second line portion of the at least one conveyance line in the transport position.
Connection Device for a Transmission Vent
A connection device for a ventilation element includes a transmission connection and a vent connection, the vent connection connects the connection device to a ventilation element, the component connection has a connection piece extending along a connecting axis, and a torsion ring surrounding the connection piece. A connecting rocker is arranged on the torsion ring, and the torsion ring is connected to the connection piece by a connecting bridge, and the connecting rocker has an actuation section and an engaging section for forming an interlocking connection. The torsion ring runs between the actuation section and the engaging section in a connecting region, in which it is connected to the connecting rocker, and the connecting bridge has a connecting arm, which starts from the connection piece and extends in the direction of the connecting axis up to the torsion ring and retains same at a radial distance from the connection piece.
METHOD OF USING A MECHANICAL JOINT RESTRAINT
A method of using a mechanical joint restraint includes inserting an end of a pipe length into a gland bore of a gland, a ring bore of a gripping ring, and a gasket bore of a gasket, the gland, the gripping ring, and the gasket together forming the mechanical joint restraint; inserting at least a portion of the gasket of the mechanical joint restraint into a socket of a piping element; inserting the end of the pipe length into the socket of the piping element; and drawing the gland towards a flange of the piping element to compress the gasket into sealing engagement with the piping element and the pipe length.
Duct coupling apparatus and method of its use
A duct coupling apparatus includes a collar portion having a first end and a second end, a flange disposed about the collar portion in a manner that divides the collar portion into an first side and a second side, and a retaining structure extending from a surface of the flange towards the second side of the collar portion. The retaining structure and the collar portion define therebetween an annular region for receipt of a sealing element, such as an o-ring or gasket. The retaining structure prevents the sealing element from extruding outwards and/or failing when under pressure.
VALVED COUPLER
A fluid system coupling includes an adaptor, a coupler, and an actuation mechanism. The adaptor has an adaptor poppet that is movable between an open position and a closed position. The adaptor poppet has a poppet face that is substantially planar and devoid of any recesses. The coupler has a coupler poppet that is movable between an open position and a closed position. The coupler poppet has a poppet face that is substantially planar and avoid of any recesses. The actuation mechanism selectively moves the poppets from the closed positions to the open positions.
Flange assembly
A flange assembly includes a flange for connection to a hose or pipe, the flange defining a contact face for engagement with a contact face of an opposed flange. The flange assembly also includes at least three clamps spaced circumferentially around the contact face. Each clamp includes a clamp body pivotably secured to the flange and a clamp member mounted on the clamp body, which is movable between a first, retracted position and a second, clamping position. A clamp face of the clamp member faces the contact face of the flange. The clamp member is movable relative to the clamp body to adjust the position of the clamp face relative to the contact face of the flange and adjust a clamping force created between the clamp face and the contact face of the flange to retain an opposing flange in face-to-face engagement with the contact face of the flange.
Quick connector
A quick connector includes a tubular socket, a wire retainer attached to an outer circumferential surface of the socket, and a guide member provided inside of the socket. The wire retainer has a lock portion which engages with a flange of a first tubular body when the guide member is at a second position. An outer circumferential surface of the guide member is formed with a holding recess in which the lock portion is fitted when the guide member is at a first position, and a wall of a pair of walls forming the holding recess is formed with a tapered guide surface that extends radially outward. The tapered guide surface guides the wire retainer so that the wire retainer goes over the flange when the first tubular body is inserted.
Coupling member
A coupling member inhibits accidental pivoting of a lever for operating a movable member such as a chuck member or a valve. The coupling member has a chuck member mounted displaceably relative to a female coupling body between a temporarily connecting position (first position) and a connecting position (second position). The chuck member is operated by a lever that is pivotable relative to the female coupling body. When the lever is pivoted from a first pivoting position to a second pivoting position, the chuck member is displaced from the temporarily connecting position to the connecting position to connect an associated male coupling member. When the lever is in the second pivoting position, a lock member of the lever engages a lever holding member to inhibit the lever from pivoting toward the first pivoting position.
