CONNECTOR ENGAGEMENT SYSTEM
A connector may comprise a plurality of locking members arranged to engage and disengage a well tool. Each locking member may be selectively and individually actuated to engage and/or disengage the well tool while the connector is coupled to the well tool. The position of the individual locking members may be selectively determined. The position of the locking members may be viewed on a display for remote member actuation.
Hose coupling seal
There is proposed an annular seal for a pipe coupling, comprising, a lower portion beatable within an upwardly open annular groove in the pipe coupling, an upper portion having an upwardly facing abutment surface, a depending skirt and a stiffening ring. The depending skirt is configured for engagement over a circular upstand of the pipe coupling, which is located inwardly of the annular groove. The stiffening ring is located within the upper portion of the annular seal, and includes an annular portion that is generally parallel with and spaced apart from the abutment surface and at least one circumferential leg depending from the annular portion that provides reinforcement for the depending leg.
Secondary unlock tool for subsea connectors
A tool for mechanically unlocking a subsea hydraulic connector which is configured to releasably connect a first subsea component to a second subsea component. The connector includes a housing which is secured to the first subsea component, a locking piston which is positioned within the housing, and a number of locking jaws which are configured to be engaged by the locking piston. The locking piston is movable between a locked position in which the locking piston forces the locking jaws into engagement with the second subsea component to thereby secure the connector to the second subsea component, and an unlocked position in which the locking piston releases the locking jaws from engagement with the second subsea component to thereby disconnect the connector from the second subsea component. The tool includes a number of transportable actuators which are positionable into an operable position adjacent the connector, and activation of the actuators causes the locking piston to move from its locked position to its unlocked position to thereby disconnect the connector from the second subsea component.
Tube fitting
A tube fitting including a sleeve member having a circumferential collar portion, the circumferential collar portion including a first tapered surface, a first coupling member having a circumferential engagement flange portion configured to couple with the circumferential collar portion of the sleeve member, and a second coupling member that includes a longitudinally extended sealing portion. The longitudinally extended sealing portion includes a second tapered surface that couples with the first tapered surface so as to circumferentially expand the longitudinally extended sealing portion, when the first tapered surface and the second tapered surface are coupled to each other, and form a fluid seal between the second coupling member and the sleeve member.
High pressure remote connector with self-aligning geometry
A connector can include multiple circumferentially distributed engagement structures which clamp two hubs together, and a biasing device which biases the engagement structures toward an open configuration thereof, in which the hubs are separable from each other. Another connector can include multiple circumferentially distributed engagement structures, each having a recess which receives hubs therein, and a sleeve which encircles the engagement structures and prevents the engagement structures from displacing radially outward from an open configuration thereof, in which the hubs are separable from each other. A method of making a connection to a wellhead can include applying pressure to a connector, thereby allowing multiple circumferentially distributed engagement structures to displace outward to an open configuration thereof, and displacing one hub of the connector into contact with another hub secured to the wellhead, the engagement structures axially aligning the hubs during the displacing.
Connecting kit for an irrigation hose
A connecting kit for an irrigation hose includes a hollow male body having, at a relative end, a connector including an end head and a hollow female body, including a second seat for the end head and having a second longitudinal extension greater than a first longitudinal extension of the end head.
Gardening fluid connection device
A gardening fluid connection device contains a body including multiple retainers, a resilient element, and a fitting sleeve including multiple spaced engagement teeth. The resilient element abuts against the body and the fitting sleeve. The body includes a stop rib, and the multiple spaced engagement teeth are pushed by the resilient element to abut against the stop rib. The body includes at least one retaining element, each retaining element is located on a first side of each spaced engagement tooth, and a width of each spaced engagement tooth is equal to a rotation distance of the fitting sleeve, hence the fitting sleeve is rotated reciprocatingly to open or close of the gardening fluid coupling device by using the stop rib, each retaining element, each spaced engagement tooth and the resilient element, and each retaining element is stopped when moving to a second side of each spaced engagement tooth.
Quick connector
A quick connector includes a socket having a socket opening and a plug inserted and coupled to the socket opening. The socket includes a socket body having a socket space into which the plug is inserted and a latch that hampers insertion of the plug into the socket space or stops the plug from escaping to the outside. The plug includes an insert body, an insert O-ring that surrounds the insert body, and an insert hook protruding outward from the insert body. The latch includes a latch frame, a latch opening formed in the latch frame, and a latch step that hides part of the latch opening, the latch step being disposed on the latch frame such that when the insert body is inserted into the socket space, the insert O-ring does not make contact with the latch step, but the insert hook makes contact with the latch step.
