A device for renovating damaged line walls proximate the connection of an auxiliary line to a main line, includes a movable support element, wherein a cover element and an expandable element are arranged on the support element. The expandable element can be positioned in the auxiliary line in or through a first recess in the cover element, and can lie against the wall of the auxiliary line to form a shell. The cover element has a second recess for introducing a curable viscous renovation compound from a storage device into space between the shell and the main and auxiliary line walls by a transport element. A heating device can be integrated into the cover element, the storage device, and/or the transport element proximate the second recess and/or operatively connected to the cover element, the storage device, and/or the transport element in the region of the second recess.
Interphase mixing inhibitors for minimizing material mixing in a material processing system
A hydrophobic separating plug is used to separate and inhibit mixing between a first material and a second material. The plug may be formed of a hydrophobic material or may be formed of a plurality of pigs that are a solid or semi-solid material that may be hydrophobic or may have a hydrophobic or superhydrophobic surface. The plurality of pigs may be disposed within a hydrophobic fluid and the pigs may be neutrally buoyant in the hydrophobic fluid. The hydrophobic separating plug has dimensions sufficient to substantially fill the cross-section of pipe sections in which it is located and to define a leading edge and a trailing edge such that the leading edge is in contact with a first material and the trailing edge is in contact with a second material. Advantageously, mixing between the first material and the second material is inhibited by the plug.

Fluid leak repair kits are described comprising a putty, self-amalgamating tape, and a composite material for use in encompassing the self-amalgamating tape. The composite material comprises a flexible sheet or tape and a matrix component for binding the flexible sheet or tape. The matrix component comprises a resin or water-activated matrix component which, when cured, forms an outer shell.

The present invention relates to an apparatus for rehabilitating damaged pipe walls in the region of the connection of a secondary pipe to a main pipe, comprising a mobile carrier element, wherein a covering element and an expandable expansion body are arranged on the carrier element, and wherein the expandable expansion body when not expanded is positioned or is positionable at least in sections in a or by means of a first recess in the covering element in the secondary pipe and, when expanded, lies against the wall of the secondary pipe such that the covering element and the expansion body together form a shuttering, and wherein the covering element has a second recess through which a viscous, curable rehabilitation compound can be introduced by means of a transport means from a storage device into the space between the shuttering and the walls of the main and secondary pipes adjacent to the shuttering, wherein the apparatus comprises a heating device which is integrated in the covering element, in the storage device and/or in the transport means at least in the region of the second recess and/or is operatively connected to the covering element, to the storage device and/or to the transport means at least in the region of the second recess.

A profile includes: a sidewall, a lumen for a fluid path, and an end, the profile including a thermoset material, wherein the profile includes a sealed end without an external bonding material, wherein the sealed end withstands a seal integrity pressure test of at least 1 psi, such as at least 5 psi, such as at least 10 psi, such as at least 15 psi, or even at least 20 psi air pressure for about 30 minutes under dry and wet conditions.
