11555572 · 2023-01-17 · ·

A liner tube is provided for repairing either a single pipe line or a main pipe line having a lateral pipe line connected thereto. The liner tube assembly includes a liner tube impregnated with a liquid material capable of curing and hardening. The liner tube includes a gasket or band of hydrophilic paste positioned about the juncture of the pipe lines. The gasket or bands form a tight seal between the liner tube and the pipe line.

High strength, stretchable liner, for pipe

A liner tube for lining a pipe and pipe lining method. Liner material that includes a strength layer and felt backing layer forms the liner tube. The strength layer includes chopped strands of fiber oriented generally parallel to one another and distributed along the strength layer. The felt backing layer can be needle punched to the strength layer. Joining structure can connect opposite longitudinal edge margins of the liner material to form a tube shape. The liner tube is impregnated with a curable polymer, positioned in the pipe, and cured to form the liner. The liner stretches radially when it is positioned in the pipe. As the liner stretches, the strength layer remains fixed to the felt backing and the width of the overlapping edge margins does not decrease.

Tubular liner for the rehabilitation of a sewer pipe

The invention relates to a tubular liner for the rehabilitation of an, in particular, underground sewer pipe, comprising at least an inner tubular film, a resin-carrier layer surrounding the inner tubular film, and comprising a mechanically protective outer film system. The outer film system comprises at least one outer film in the form of a UV-radiation- and short-wavelength, visible light-absorbing and/or -reflecting, single-layer or multi-layer film which contains, in one or more polymer layers, at least one short-wavelength, visible light-absorbing and/or—reflecting, organic or inorganic color pigment or a corresponding dye, and at least one organic or inorganic compound which absorbs and/or reflects the UV radiation. Moreover, the outer film system comprises at least one mechanically stable reinforcing web which rests on the aforementioned outer film. The outer film system has a transmittance for visible light at at least one wavelength in the range of 550 nm to 800 nm of at least 1%. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing such an outer film system and to such an outer film system itself.

Pipe lining systems and methods of use

Systems and methods for pipe lining systems and methods of use are described. Systems and methods may include a CIPP lateral liner that is inserted into a bladder forming a CIPP liner assembly that can be inserted into a pipe line for a pipe repair. CIPP liner assembly can include a membrane that produces superior results compared to the prior art. A backing ring may be used with these systems and methods.

METHOD FOR PREVENTING SPILLS RESULTING FROM PIPELINE FAILURES

A petroleum pipeline safety system for preventing contamination of an environmentally sensitive area close to a pipeline is provided. The system includes a first portion of the pipeline including an upstream portion of the pipeline supplying a flow of fluid material and a flow restriction downstream of the first portion of the pipeline. The system further includes a second portion of the pipeline downstream of the flow restriction, receiving the flow of fluid material from the first portion and conveying the flow of fluid material through the environmentally sensitive area to a downstream portion of the pipeline. The flow restriction is configured to create a lower pipeline internal pressure within the second portion as compared to a pipeline internal pressure within the first portion. The system further includes a third portion of the pipeline downstream of the environmentally sensitive area and including the downstream portion of the pipeline.

PIPE REPAIR DEVICE

Pipe repair

The present disclosure relates to a method for repairing a partially collapsed pipe. The method comprises fitting a mesh stent around the outside of an actuation assembly of a pipe repair apparatus, and positioning the pipe repair apparatus within a portion of the pipe, at least a part of the portion of the pipe being partially collapsed. The method also comprises causing actuation between a retracted configuration and an extended configuration such that the partially collapsed part of the pipe changes from a partially collapsed form towards a non-collapsed form. The method also comprises removing the pipe repair apparatus from the pipe and leaving the mesh stent in the portion of the pipe.

Strip member for spiral pipe and rehabilitation method of existing pipe

A strip member that can be made into a spiral pipe with an enlarged perimeter by being spirally wound. A first fitting portion (93) is disposed in one end portion of a cross-section orthogonal to an extending direction of a strip member (90) and a second fitting portion (94) is disposed in the other end portion of the cross-section. A spiral pipe (9) is made by spirally winding the strip member (90) and fitting the second fitting portion (94) with the first fitting portion (93) preceding by one turn. The strip member (90) has a cross-sectional configuration in which a reference width direction W.sub.9 connecting the first fitting portion (93) and the second fitting portion (94) on the cross-section is inclinable to an outer surface side toward the first fitting portion side when the strip member is wound.

Broken pipe extractor

A broken pipe extractor for removing a broken pipe from a pipe joint includes a hollow pipe body, a first blocking block, a second blocking block, and a hook needle assembly. The first blocking block is located in the pipe body for fixing one end of the pipe joint. The first blocking block defines a through hole. A diameter of the through hole is greater than or equal to an inner diameter of the pipe joint. The second blocking block is movably fixed to one end of the pipe body for fixing another end of the pipe joint. The hook needle assembly is configured to be inserted through the through hole of the first blocking block and extend to the broken pipe to remove the broken pipe.
