COMPRESSED SHEETS WITH HIGH STRETCHABILITY
20230213137 · 2023-07-06 ·

A sheet of material is crumpled and flattened so that it is longitudinally compressed while remaining substantially uncompressed in the lateral direction. Once so formed, the sheet may be stretched to conform to complex three-dimensional shapes. When applied to thermally insulated piping, for example, such sheets may serve as barriers to the movement of water in the insulation system.

Fitting for preventing distortion

Various fittings capable of preventing distortion are disclosed. The fitting comprises a metal member configured to have at least two sub metal members and a body. Here, the sub metal members are included in the body, and the body is formed of plastic.

RESIN RICH POLYUREA-BASED INTEGRATED EXTERNAL LAYER FOR REINFORCED THERMOSETTING RESIN PIPING PROTECTION
20230130880 · 2023-04-27 ·

This disclosure describes a reinforced thermosetting resin piping system that is protected from external impact and UV damage by an outer polyurea-based layer. The embodiments described herein can be favorably used for underground and aboveground applications. In some implementations, an RTR pipe includes a core layer that includes a resin and fibers, an outer layer that includes a polyurea-based layer, and an interface layer between the core layer and the outer layer. The methods described herein also outline the process of producing the pipe structure.

MULTILAYER MOTOR VEHICLE PIPELINE
20230204134 · 2023-06-29 ·

Multilayer motor vehicle tube for conducting at least one fluid medium, wherein the tube comprises a fluid duct and a tube wall that surrounds the fluid duct. The tube wall is multilayered and comprises at least three layers, specifically having the following layer composition. An external layer is provided that consists of at least one polyamide, in particular of at least one aliphatic polyamide. Furthermore, an adhesion-promoting layer is provided and an internal layer consisting of at least one thermoplastic elastomer. At least one barrier layer is also provided that consists of at least 96% by weight of polypropylene. The overall layer thickness d of the tube wall is from 0.3 to 3.0 mm.

High pressure pipe and use thereof

A high pressure pipe of high density polyethylene material includes an internal lining (3), an intermediate reinforcement layer (2) and an outer cover layer (1). The high density polyethylene material of the internal lining (3) is filled with a filling material (5). As a result, the mixture of high density polyethylene and filling material provides resistance against higher temperatures, allowing the pipe to be able to transport fluids at elevated temperatures.

Field Joint Arrangement for a Pipeline and Protecting Method Thereof

A method protects a field joint of a pipeline, where chamfered edges of thermally-insulating parent coatings on conjoined pipe lengths are in mutual opposition about a longitudinally-extending gap. The method includes manufacturing an hourglass-shaped inner layer around the pipe lengths, which layer may be moulded. The inner layer extends longitudinally along the gap between the chamfered edges and at least partially overlies the chamfered edges. A thermally-insulating solid insert is assembled from two or more parts to lie in the gap surrounding the inner layer, and pressure is applied radially inwardly from the insert to the inner layer. An outer layer of molten material is manufactured around the insert to form a watertight barrier and to form one or more melted interfaces with the inner layer. Corresponding field joint arrangements are also disclosed.

PIPE WITH AN OUTER WRAP

This disclosure relates generally to corrugated pipe, and more particularly to corrugated pipe with a reinforcing stiffener. The corrugated pipe may include an axially extended bore defined by a corrugated outer wall having axially adjacent, outwardly-extending corrugation crests, separated by corrugation valleys. In some embodiments, a stiffener may be positioned within the corrugation valleys. In other embodiments, a stiffener may be positioned within the corrugation crests.
