The press includes improved platens for rosin collection with built-in gutter rail collection systems and well-distributed force on the pressed product and multiple hydraulic rams. Apparatus and method for executing a safety function
An apparatus and method for executing a safety function is particularly applicable to monitoring a safety area of a technical installation. An imaging unit acquires an event that triggers the safety function within a defined working area. A controller carries out a safety-related reaction depending on the triggering event. A test unit is configured to verify the operability of the imaging unit and includes a processing unit and a projection unit. The projection unit projects a pattern with defined properties into the working area. The processing unit evaluates the image data acquired by the imaging unit to detect the projected pattern within the acquired image data. Further, the processing unit extracts the specific properties of the detected projected pattern, and compares the specific properties of the detected projected pattern with the defined properties.
Safety controller
The present invention provides a mechanism for causing a safety controller to suitably display various pieces of information from a safety input device. A safety controller acquires a compatible port that connects at least one safety input device, and a safety input signal from the at least one safety input device connected via the compatible port and state information on the safety input device. Further, the safety controller 3 includes the MCU 23 that generates, in accordance with the safety program, a safety output signal based on the safety input signal acquired, and the display device 5a that displays, based on the state information acquired, a state of the safety input device from which the state information is acquired.
Optical safety sensor
An optical safety sensor is inexpensively implemented. An optical safety sensor includes: a plurality of light projectors/receivers (a first light projector/receiver and a second light projector/receiver), which includes light projecting portions and light receiving portions; distance measurement portions, which measure distances using the time from light projecting to light receiving; and detection portions, which detect, based on measurement results, an abnormality occurring in any one of the plurality of light projectors/receivers; each of the light receiving portion provided in the plurality of light projectors/receivers receives reflected light caused by the light projected from the light projecting portions of all the plurality of light projectors/receivers.
Machine tool
A machine tool includes a tool and a protective device. The tool includes a saw blade and a motor for driving the saw blade. An insulating member is arranged between the saw blade and the motor. The protective device includes a signal receiving unit, a control unit and a breaker. The signal receiving unit has an antenna receiving end that is in electrical contact with a middle region of the saw blade. The breaker is electrically connected between the motor and a utility power supply. The control unit is connected to the signal receiving unit and the breaker. The saw blade is used as an antenna by the signal receiving unit to receive an electromagnetic wave having the same frequency as that of a utility power from an environment, and the control unit controls the breaker according to a change of intensity in the electromagnetic wave.
