A pressure vessel made of two thin-walled, closed-end tube sections joined at a central hub that encircles the open ends of the two closed-end tube sections, with a plurality of radial bolts attaching the sections together. The central hub has an O-ring groove in which an O-ring rests, providing a seal between the interior of the pressure vessel and the outside. The inner wall of the central hub may have radially thin and radially thick sections to distribute and minimize weight without sacrificing strength. The assembly may be attached to a mounting surface through a dovetail mount on the central hub.

The hydrogen storage system has one or more hydrogen storage alloy containment vessels with the alloy disposed therein.

Disclosed is a cartridge for storing pressurized gas, including a main body with an internal volume for storing a gaseous mixture NO/N.sub.2, and a distribution valve for controlling the output of the gas. The internal volume of the main body is less than 1000 ml. The concentration of NO in the gaseous mixture NO/N.sub.2 is between 15000 and 25000 ppmv. The gas pressure in the internal volume is below 15 bar, measured at 23° C. Installation for delivering gas to a patient, including such a gas cartridge, a NO supply device fed by the gas cartridge, and a medical ventilator feeding a patient circuit which has an inhalation branch fed by the NO supply device. Use for treating patients suffering from pulmonary hypertension or hypoxia.

A pressure vessel for storing fluid is disclosed. The pressure vessel includes a metallic liner comprising a cylindrical portion and a pair of ellipsoidal domes positioned at opposite ends of the cylindrical portion. Further, the pressure vessel includes a composite material wrapped over the cylindrical portion and the pair of ellipsoidal domes. The composite material is formed of a polymeric matrix reinforced with fibers, the composite material comprises of a combination of hoop layers and helical layers which are positioned in predetermined order with respect to each other. A hoop layer is wrapped over a cylindrical portion of the metallic liner of the pressure vessel and a helical layer is wrapped over both the cylindrical portion and the pair of ellipsoidal domes. The helical layer is wrapped on each of the pair of ellipsoidal domes in a manner that a helical angle is defined at an intersection between the cylindrical portion and the pair of ellipsoidal domes.

A liquefied gas storage tank according to the present disclosure is a liquefied gas storage tank for storing a cryogenic material and includes a primary barrier made of metal to form an accommodating space for accommodating a cryogenic material; a primary insulating wall in which a primary plywood and a primary insulating material are sequentially disposed to the outside of the primary barrier; a secondary barrier provided on the outside of the primary insulating wall; and a secondary insulating wall in which a secondary insulating material and a secondary plywood are sequentially disposed in a stack to the outside of the secondary barrier, wherein the secondary barrier includes a main barrier provided on top of each secondary insulating wall constituting a unit element; and an auxiliary barrier connecting the adjacent main barriers to each other, the secondary barrier is formed of a mixed material of a metal and a non-metal, and the primary insulating wall has a thickness of 66% to 166% of that of the secondary insulating wall in order to lower a thermal stress.
