The treatment tank is delimited by a base and by lateral containment walls. The cover includes: a gas impermeable flexible membrane; a gas-tight continuous fixing unit of a margin of the membrane to the tank; an insufflation unit of air inside the cover; and a discharge valve of the air out of the cover. The odor control cover also includes a diaphragm permeable to liquids and to gases, arranged to delimit a reduced volume of the odor control cover available to the harmful gases and to the malodorous substances released from the slurry. The air insufflation unit is connected to the cover above the diaphragm. The discharge valve is connected to the cover below the diaphragm.

TANK HAVING ENHANCED INSULATION COMBINING THERMAL INSULATION MATS WITH MICROSPHERES, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SUCH A TANK
20220390071 · 2022-12-08 ·

A tank suitable for storing a product at a cryogenic temperature, including a fluid tight interior barrier, a fluid tight exterior barrier, surrounding the first interior barrier, an intermediary volume interposed between the interior and exterior barriers and at least one insulating layer positioned in the intermediary volume and including at least one thermal insulation mat, with very low thermal conductivity. The intermediary volume contains microspheres outside of the thermal insulation mats and has an enhanced level of vacuum. This solution makes it possible to maintain satisfactory performance in terms of thermal insulation even in the event of a loss of vacuum in the intermediary volume.

Storage tank containment system

A tank is used in the containment, transport, and/or storage of fluids, e.g., one or more liquids and/or gases. In one embodiment, the tank includes a plurality of segments collectively defining an interior chamber that retains the fluid(s), each of which includes opposing ends defining beveled mating surfaces. The tank also includes a plurality of endcaps positioned between, and in engagement with, adjacent segments, as well as a plurality of webs that include a series of first webs having a first configuration and a series of second webs having a second, different configuration. The first webs are positioned within the plurality of segments between the ends thereof, and the second webs are positioned within the endcaps. In an alternate embodiment, the tank is devoid of the endcaps, and instead, includes segments defining beveled mating surfaces that intersect at junctures to define four corner sections of the tank.

A high-pressure tank includes a liner, a fiber layer, and a protective layer. The liner has an internal space to store a fluid. The fiber layer includes fibers wound around an outer surface of the liner, and a thermosetting resin that has been cured and covers surfaces of the fibers. The protective layer includes a porous member disposed on the fibers, the porous member having a plurality of pores extending through the porous member in a thickness direction of the porous member. The thermosetting resin has entered the pores.

Membrane bonding structure and liquefied gas storage tank comprising the same

Disclosed is a membrane bonding structure for bonding a membrane for forming a sealed wall between first and second surfaces of a storage tank for storing liquefied gas. The membrane bonding structure may comprise: a planar portion panel installed on the first and second surfaces so as to thermally insulate the storage tank; a bonding panel installed on the boundary portion between the first and second surfaces together with the planar portion panel; a first membrane attached to the planar portion panel on the first surface and to the bonding panel so as to seal the storage tank; and a second membrane attached to the planar portion panel on the second surface and to the bonding panel so as to seal the storage tank. The first membrane and the second membrane may be attached to the bonding panel so as to make no direct connection.

SAFETY DEVICE FOR A SINGLE-USE MIXING OR STORAGE SYSTEM

A safety device for a single-use mixing or storage system (10), especially for use in a biopharmaceutical process, includes a flexible bag (12) made from a film material and a support structure (14) receiving and supporting the bag (12) in several directions. The support structure (14) allows an expansion of the bag (12) in an expansion direction. The safety device further includes a detection unit (20) adapted to detect an expansion of the bag (12) in the expansion direction, and a control unit (28) connected to the detection unit (20) and adapted to initiate a safety measure in response to the expansion of the bag (12) in the expansion direction exceeds a given threshold.

Gas cell driven orientation independent delivery device
09840361 · 2017-12-12 · ·

An orientation independent delivery device. The delivery device includes a gas chamber, a delivery chamber, a gas cell, and a delivery aperture. The gas chamber includes a gas-side rigid portion and a gas-side flexible barrier. The gas-side flexible barrier is sealed to the gas-side rigid portion. The delivery chamber includes a delivery-side rigid portion and a delivery-side flexible barrier. The delivery-side flexible barrier is sealed to the delivery-side rigid portion and is oriented adjacent to the gas-side flexible barrier. The gas cell is coupled to the gas-side rigid portion of the gas chamber. The gas cell increases a gas pressure within the gas chamber to expand the gas-side flexible barrier. Expansion of the gas-side flexible barrier applies a compressive force to the delivery-side flexible barrier allowing a delivery material to escape from the delivery chamber.
