FILLING STATION FOR GAS CYLINDERS AND MOTOR VEHICLES, AND METHOD
A filling station comprises a filling device for an automated filling of a gas bottle inserted in the filling station and a filling device for refueling a motor vehicle, wherein the filling device for an automated filling of a gas bottle inserted in the filling station is arranged adjacent to the filling device for refueling a motor vehicle.
System, method and apparatus for modular, mobile rail fueling
A portable, modular fueling system for the storage, dispensing and offloading of fuel from a rail vehicle to one or more other fuel storage vessels is disclosed. The system module is self-contained on an ISO standardized intermodal platform. The module is capable of being in fluid communication with a plurality of modular storage vessels, either rail-bound or wayside, such as for delivering fuel to a fuel tender or a locomotive. Electrical power, equipment storage, lighting, and compressed air may be located on the intermodal rail car or in a support module, such as either ground-based or rail-mobile. Alternatively, the platform can be mounted to a trailer chassis, or affixed to a land-based foundation matching the standardized intermodal container footprint. Control of the fuel system is provided by automatic means with manual override.
Magnetic hanger for welding equipment
A rack includes a first upper hook that opens upward and a first lower hook that opens downward, wherein the first upper and lower hooks are vertically aligned. Two or more permanent magnets are physically secured to the rack, wherein the permanent magnets are positioned to simultaneously magnetically engage a side surface of a cylindrical gas tank and magnetically secure the rack to the side surface of the cylindrical gas tank. A hose may be wound about the first and second hooks in a side-to-side configuration. In one option, the rack may include a second upper and lower hooks that extend in opposing lateral directions to receive separate hoses. In another option, the rack may be formed with tubular metal and the permanent magnets may be disposed inside vertical sections of the tubular metal. That rack may also secure a gas flow meter.
Foot for a portable pressurized gas cylinder
Provided is a foot ring secured to a tank having a collar, The foot ring includes a base having an inner and outer surface, a central portion, and an outer peripheral portion, a plurality of circumferentially spaced deflectable longitudinal lock tabs extending around the base for securing the foot ring to the tank, and a plurality of circumferentially spaced deflectable rotational lock tabs extending around the base for preventing rotational movement of the foot ring relative to the tank. Each of the circumferentially spaced deflectable longitudinal lock tabs have a first projection and a catch extending from the first projection for engaging a flange of the collar, and each of the circumferentially spaced deflectable rotational lock tabs have a second projection configured to be received in a respective notch in the flange.
THERMAL MANAGEMENT IN CONFORMABLE TANKS
A conformable pressure vessel including pressure vessel segments defined by a cavity disposed within a liner. The pressure vessel segments receive and store a gas in a compressed state. Each of the pressure vessel segments includes a first section of the liner having a first diameter and a second section of the liner having a second diameter smaller than the first diameter. The conformable pressure vessel includes a reinforcement layer surrounding the liner, and an inlet in fluid communication with the cavity of the liner. The inlet receives the gas from a gas source. The conformable pressure vessel includes an outlet in fluid communication with the cavity of the liner. The outlet outputs the gas from the pressure vessel segments. The conformable pressure vessel includes a connecting tube in fluid communication with the inlet and the outlet. The connecting tube receives the gas from the outlet.
Vessel made of thermally non-hardenable aluminum alloy and method for the production thereof
The present invention relates to metalworking, in particular to producing vessels from non-heat-treatable aluminium alloys used for tanks and pressure vessels. Disclosed is a method of manufacturing a vessel, the method including: forming a tube by rolling at least one flat blank and abutting the edges thereof, friction stir welding the abutted edges and working at least a part of the welded tube into a shape of the vessel, wherein the flat blank is a sheet of a non-heat-treatable aluminium alloy preliminarily subjected to cold working with permanent deformation within the range of 0.5-15%, and said working of at least one part of the welded tube is hot working at a temperature of 230-520° C. The technical effect is a reduction in vessel weight, an increase in vessel strength, a uniform vessel strength and a reduction in the number of hot working cycles during manufacturing of the vessel. Further, the method provides reduced metal and time consumption in manufacturing a vessel from a non-heat-treatable aluminium alloy, low payload ratio, increased reliability and longer service life of the vessel produced using the method.
