SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR STORING LIQUID AND GASEOUS FUELS
A system for storing fuel includes a support structure supporting at least one fuel tank a predetermined distance above ground. The fuel tank includes an inner tank configured to contain a gaseous fuel, an intermediate tank encompassing the inner tank and defining a first annular space therebetween, and an outer tank encompassing the intermediate tank an defining a second annular space therebetween. The first annular space is filled with a shock-absorbing resin for absorbing structural stresses, while the second annular space is filled with an insulating material providing for fire and ballistic resistance. The intermediate tank is connected to the support structure and to at least one adjacent fuel tank, and prevents the transfer of load to the inner tank.
TRIPLE CONTAINMENT TANK
A triple containment tank includes: a tank foundation; a triple shell including an outer tank, an intermediate tank, and an inner tank; a first anchor strap extending through a first inter-tank region and a second inter-tank region and coupling an inner tank side plate and the tank foundation; and a second anchor strap extending through the second inter-tank region and coupling an intermediate tank side plate and the tank foundation. The first anchor strap includes: a first end portion coupled to the inner tank side plate; a second end portion coupled to the tank foundation; a first intermediate portion located between the first end portion and the second end portion and coupled to an inner wall-side portion of the intermediate tank; and a second intermediate portion located between the first end portion and the second end portion and coupled to an outer wall-side portion of the intermediate tank.
AN ANCHORING ASSEMBLY INCLUDING A TIGHTENING MECHANISM FOR HOLDING AN UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK
An anchoring assembly and related system and method for facilitating the securing a holding strap to a storage tank and holding of the latter to the ground, comprising a base that is connectable to a top surface of the storage tank and an anchor that is reversibly secured to the base and positionable in a transverse direction of the storage tank to anchor a proximal end of the holding strap. The anchor includes a tightening mechanism being supported above the top surface of the storage tank by the base, wherein the tightening mechanism is actuable to move the anchor with respect to the top surface of the storage tank, thereby modifying a tension of the holding strap.
MODULAR LOCKING CONNECTORS FOR PORTABLE HARNESS SYSTEMS, METHODS AND DEVICES
This disclosure relates to modular locking connectors that enable discrete and fully separate components to be easily, quickly, and interchangeably connected together to result in a fully functional buoyancy compensator device. These separate components may include shoulders, waistbands, back panels, bladders or other buoyancy chambers, pockets including those for ballasting weights, and accessories such as knives, lights, signaling devices and the like.
TANK SUPPORT
This disclosure relates to tank wedge connectors to support cylindrical objects, for example to support scuba tanks, particularly designed for use in underwater operations on swimming and diving gear. An embodiment of the tank wedge connectors includes arranging the tank wedge connectors in an opposing pair, forming a cradle. Another embodiment of the disclosed tank wedge connectors includes a rail component which the wedge connectors can slide on to separate and expand, with one of the rails including detents for the wedges to be positioned and fixed at a desired spacing. A third embodiment of these tank wedge connectors includes being mounted to a flexible surface which allows the connectors to conform to cylindrical objects of varying radii.
CORD CONNECTOR
This disclosure relates to a modular cord connector that enables two cords to connect together and release. An embodiment of this cord connector disclosure is designed for use on cords integral to a gas release on buoyancy compensator devices. The preferred embodiment of this cord connector, shown for use on a buoyancy compensator device, includes modular male and female portions which include a T-shaped post on the male portion and a pathway with detents configured to retain the male portion when engaged with the female portion.
Cold-Box System And Apparatus For Power Management Aboard Ships
A cold-box system includes a bulk gas tank, and a plurality of cold-box compartments operationally associated with the bulk gas tank. A cold-box apparatus includes a plurality of cold-box compartments operationally associated with a bulk gas tank. In one embodiment the cold-box compartments may be spaced apart from the tank aboard a waterborne platform. The system and apparatus provide redundancy regarding power aboard ship for the bulk gas tank.
CRYOGENIC LIQUID TANK
A cryogenic liquid tank (1) includes a reservoir (5) that includes a bottom portion (5a, 5a1, or 5a2) and a side wall (5b), a support portion (4) that supports the reservoir (5), and an intermediate member (10) that is provided between the reservoir (5) and the support portion (4). The support portion (4) includes an outer support portion (4b) which supports the side wall (5b), and an inner support portion (4a) which is disposed to be adjacent to an inner side of the outer support portion (4b), includes a heat insulating layer formed of an elastic material, and supports the bottom portion (5a, 5a1, or 5a2) of the reservoir (5). A cover portion (9a, 9a1, or 15) covering a boundary between the outer support portion (4b) and the inner support portion (4a) is provided between the support portion (4) and the intermediate member (10).
Transport Element Support Assembly
A transport element support assembly comprises a front plate, a back plate, and a grommet. The front plate has a first opening and a first set of holes. The back plate has a second opening and a second set of holes. A chamber is formed by the first opening and the second opening and is configured to hold a transport element. The grommet is positioned within the chamber. The transport element support assembly formed by the front plate, the back plate, and the grommet is configured to provide electrical isolation between the transport element and an aircraft structure.
Modular Membrane LNG Tank
A method, including: obtaining a stand-alone liquefied gas storage tank, wherein the liquefied gas storage tank includes a membrane insulation system; and disposing the liquefied gas storage tank onto a storage tank pre-installed foundation.
