A liquefied gas storage tank of the present disclosure includes: a flat block including a flat primary insulating wall disposed on a flat portion on a first surface or a second surface at different angles forming a storage space for accommodating liquefied gas, the flat primary insulating wall securing a flat primary barrier made of metal and being disposed on the outside of the flat primary barrier, a flat secondary barrier disposed on the outside of the flat primary insulating wall, and a flat secondary insulating wall disposed on the outside of the flat secondary barrier; and a corner block including a corner primary insulating wall disposed in a corner portion where the first surface and the second surface meet, the corner primary insulating wall securing a corner primary barrier made of metal and being disposed on the outside of the corner primary barrier, a corner secondary barrier disposed on the outside of the corner primary insulating wall, and a corner secondary insulating wall disposed on the outside of the corner secondary barrier, wherein the corner primary insulating wall includes an outer primary plywood secured to the corner secondary barrier, an inner primary plywood to which the corner primary barrier is secured, and a corner primary insulation material disposed between the inner primary plywood and the outer primary plywood.
Apparatus, systems, and methods for storing and transporting compressed fluids
Composite tank apparatus and methods of making and using same. An array of flat-sided co-dependent cells with relatively thin skins made of metallic or non-metallic materials. Each cell has at least two flat wall panel portions connected by radiused sections arranged such that all of the flat wall panel portions are either in flush contact with each other or in flush contact with flat supporting panels of an enclosing structure or thermal insulating material lining an interior thereof. The cells are sealed with each other around a perimeter of at least one pair of matching lightening through-wall holes provided in adjacent pairs of the wall panel portions of the cells to resist relative movement and prevent leakage of fluid therefrom. The composite tank apparatus may include an enclosing structure, and optionally, one or more layers of thermally insulating material lining the interior surface or the exterior surface of the enclosing structure.
Tank state estimation method and tank state estimation program
A tank state estimating method of estimating a state in a tank at a predetermined point in time on a sailing course of an LNG carrier is provided. The LNG carrier carrying LNG stored in the tank as a cargo. The tank state estimating method includes: a first step of acquiring information related to specification of the tank; a second step of acquiring information related to a state in the tank at a start point of a target section on the course; a third step of acquiring information on a predictive value of liquid fluctuation of the LNG in the tank during the section, the predictive value being obtained on a basis of a weather forecasting value during the section and information on the weather forecasting value; and a fourth step of calculating the state in the tank at an end point of the section by thermal transfer calculation based on thermodynamics on a basis of the information acquired in the first to third steps in assuming that a heat input to the tank during the section is used for vaporization of the LNG in the tank.

A sealed and thermally insulating storage tank for a fluid that is anchored in a load-bearing structure built into a ship, the ship having a longitudinal direction, the tank having a loading/unloading tower suspended from a ceiling wall of the load-bearing structure, the loading/unloading tower including first, second and third vertical pylons defining a prism of triangular section, the loading/unloading tower carrying at least a first pump, the tank having a support foot that is fastened to the load-bearing structure, the tank having at least one sump, the first pump being arranged outside the triangular prism and being aligned with the support foot in a first transverse plane that is orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the ship.
ESTIMATION OF A TANK SLOSHING RESPONSE USING A STATISTICAL MODEL TRAINED BY MACHINE LEARNING
A system and method for the estimation of a sloshing response of a sealed and thermally insulating tank for transporting liquefied gas. A statistical model is trained using a supervised machine learning method on a set of test data that may include sea test data, the statistical model being capable of estimating a sloshing response of the tank depending on a tank fill level and a current sea state, and optionally at least one of a draught, speed or course of the vessel. The statistical model trained in this manner is used to estimate a sloshing response of a sealed and thermally insulating tank for transporting liquefied gas. In an alternative embodiment, the statistical model estimates the sloshing response from a tank fill level and a current sea state, and optionally from at least one of a draught, speed or course of the vessel.
Liquefied gas storage tank having insulation parts and method for arranging insulation parts
A liquefied gas storage tank having insulation parts and a method for arranging the insulation parts are disclosed. Disclosed are the liquefied gas storage tank having the insulation parts and the method for arranging the insulation parts, the liquefied gas storage tank being capable of improving durability against the impact generated by liquefied gas since insulation panels, which are arranged in the insulating parts for the liquefied gas storage tank, have different densities according to: a load due to the mass of the liquefied gas stored in the liquefied gas storage tank; and the impact generated by sloshing.
CORNER STRUCTURE OF LNG STORAGE TANK
A corner structure comprises: a fixed member fixed to a corner of a storage tank; a movable member supported on the fixed member so as to be linearly movable; a stop member attached to the fixed member to prevent the movable member from being detached from the fixed member; and a heat insulating member disposed between a sealing wall and a hull. The fixed member comprises a guide portion provided with a guide recessed portion, the movable member comprises a guide protruding portion inserted into the guide recessed portion, and the width and the length of the guide protruding portion are smaller than the width and the length of the guide recessed portion, so that the movable member can be supported on the fixed member to be movable in the longitudinal direction and in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction.
STORAGE TANK
The present invention relates to a storage tank for liquid hydrogen, comprising a wall, a base, which closes the wall at the end face on one side, a top, which closes the wall at the end face on the side facing away from the base, and an intermediate wall, which is arranged inside of the wall and at a distance therefrom, wherein a gap is provided between a lower edge of the intermediate wall and the base, so that an interior enclosed by the intermediate wall is fluidically connected to an interior enclosed by the wall.
STORAGE TANK CONTAINMENT SYSTEM
A large volume natural gas storage tank comprises rigid tubular walls having closed tubular cross-sections that are interconnected at opposing ends with two other rigid tubular walls such that interiors of the rigid tubular walls define an interior fluid storage chamber. The storage tank also includes bulkheads positioned in the interior fluid storage chamber across intermediate segments of the rigid tubular walls and closure plates connected between exterior surfaces of successive interconnected rigid tubular walls to define sides of the storage tank. Interior surfaces of the closure plates and exterior surfaces of the rigid tubular walls define an auxiliary fluid storage chamber. The storage tank also includes exterior support structures extending through the closure plates and between the exterior surfaces of the rigid tubular walls on some of the sides of the storage tank to reinforce the storage tank against dynamic loading from fluid in the interior fluid storage chamber.
