Lighting device for vehicles
A lighting device for vehicles with a first lighting unit having a light source and a light beam surface for emitting light and with a second lighting unit containing a light source and a flat light guide having opposite flat sides and narrow sides connecting the same for backlighting the first lighting unit. The flat light guide of the second lighting unit has a backlighting section and a linear light section. The backlighting section is arranged behind the first lighting unit and a front flat side of the flat light guide in the backlighting section serves as a light decoupling surface for the light decoupling of a first part of the light coupled into the flat light guide. The linear light section is at least partially arranged next to the first lighting unit. A narrow side of the flat light guide serves as a light decoupling line.
Vehicle external illumination device
A directional illumination device for a vehicle external light comprises an array of light sources and an imaging waveguide comprising an input surface and a reflective end. Opposed guide surfaces are arranged to guide input light from the input surface to the reflective end and back along the waveguide after reflection at the reflective end, the waveguide being arranged to extract input light as it is guided back along the waveguide after reflection and to cause the extracted light to exit through the first guide surface. The reflective end has positive optical power in the direction laterally across the waveguide and the waveguide is arranged to direct the extracted light in respective output illumination directions distributed in a lateral direction in dependence on the input positions of the light sources in the direction laterally across the waveguide. A thin, high brightness and high efficiency controllable directional vehicle headlight is provided.
Vehicular lamp fitting and light guiding body
A vehicular lamp fitting according to the present invention comprises: a light guiding body; a first light source; and a second light source, wherein the light guiding body includes a first rod-shaped light guiding portion which guides first light emitted by the first light source, a second rod-shaped light guiding portion which guides second light emitted by the second light source, an intermediate portion which is arranged between the first rod-shaped light guiding portion and the second rod-shaped light guiding portion, a first coupling portion which couples a base end portion side of the first rod-shaped light guiding portion and the intermediate portion together such that a part of the first light, which enters the first rod-shaped light guiding portion through a light entering surface of the first rod-shaped light guiding portion, enters an inside of the intermediate portion.
Homogeneous rear combination lamp without outer lens
A rear combination lamp for a vehicle comprises: a first housing member that is opaque; a first light source inside the first housing member; a first lightguide abutting the first housing member and enclosing the first light source, a first taillight portion extending from the first lightguide; a structural member that is opaque and abuts the first lightguide on an opposite side from the first housing member; a second lightguide abutting the structural member on an opposite side from the first lightguide, a second taillight portion extending from the second lightguide; a second housing member that is opaque and that abuts the second lightguide on an opposite side from the structural member; and a second light source inside the second housing member, wherein the second lightguide encloses the second light source.
Lighting Arrangement, Vehicle Light and Vehicle
A lighting arrangement for a vehicle includes a lenticular grid device having a lenticular grid and an image element arrangement having a plurality of first image elements and a plurality of second image elements; and a lighting device having a flat light guide and at least one optical fiber arranged at least in sections on a lateral edge of the flat light guide. The optical fiber is arranged to emit light coupled into the optical fiber and to couple the light into the planar light guide. The planar light guide is configured to couple out the light coupled into the planar light guide such that the light impinges on the image element arrangement from a side of the lenticular grid device opposite the lenticular grid.
