LAMP UNIT
A lamp unit includes: a first unit including a light emitting unit; a second unit including a light source and a lens unit having a shape different from that of the light emitting unit; and a shielding portion having an opening portion and shielding a member provided on a back side of the shielding portion from the outside. The first unit is disposed at a position where the light emitting unit is capable of being visually recognized from the outside in a front view. The lens unit is disposed on the back side of the shielding portion or in the opening portion. At least a part of the lens unit is provided at a position where at least the part is invisible in a front view, and light emitted from the light source is projected forward via the opening portion provided in the shielding portion.
Vehicle Lighting System Using Light Channels
A lightbar with additional periphery lights for further functionality. The periphery lights can be operated through LEDs positioned behind the primary emergency lights of the lightbar. The LEDs can transmit light through a light transmissive material to the periphery. These periphery lights can be operated independently of the primary emergency lights to provide identification during non-emergency situations or additional information for coordinating emergency response.
Decorative Element for a Motor Vehicle, and Production Method for a Decorative Element
A decorative element for a motor vehicle comprising a transparent carrier element which can be fastened to the motor vehicle, a transparent surface layer which forms an external surface of the decorative element and is arranged on a visible side of the decorative element on the carrier element during intended use, a film printed with a predetermined pattern and arranged on a side opposite the visible side on the carrier element, and a transparent inner surface layer which forms an inner surface of the decorative element. The printed film comprises at least one transparent cut-out. A paint layer in a predetermined color is arranged between the printed film and the inner surface layer. A method for producing the decorative element is also disclosed.
Light emitting apparatus, light source unit, and mobile body
A light emitting apparatus is supported by a second support supported by a first support laterally relative to the first support alongside an imaging apparatus, and emits light to be detected by the imaging apparatus. The light emitting apparatus includes a light source that emits the light and a lens on which the light emitted from the light source is incident and that transmits the light incident on the lens. The lens includes a part provided with a dimmer that at least partially reduces light to be emitted to the first support out of the light incident on the lens.

Sensor cover for vehicle lamp assembly
This disclosure relates to a sensor cover for a vehicle lamp assembly. The lamp assembly may include a housing and may further include a sensor. The lamp assembly may also include a cover configured to support the sensor relative to the housing. The cover may be configured to connect to the housing without the use of tools.
Light guiding device, vehicle lamp and vehicle
A light guiding device includes a first light guide having an end surface, a corner section and a downstream section. The corner section of the first light guide has a corner and is closer to the end surface of the first light guide than the downstream section. Light incident surfaces of the first light guide include the end surface, and an inner side surface of the corner section located on the inner side of the corner. A light exit surface of the first light guide includes an outer side surface of the first light guide located on the outer side of the corner. The light incident surfaces of the first light guide may additionally include the inner side surface of the corner section. It is found that the corner section can be lit on when the corner section is observed along the direction tangent to the corner section.
Enhanced diffusive lighting and pattern effects over automotive surface panels
The present invention pertains to automotive surface panel illumination with the objective of attaining the whitest diffusive appearance with maximized light intensity transmission features. An automotive luminous panel system includes a luminous unit arrangement as defined by an anti-mist diffusive coating applied to a light transmissive substrate with a corresponding masked cover lens patterned with bleed-gaps that are configured to convey incident light directly through the patterned optical arrangement and operate between the hidden until lit modes of the luminous unit.
Warning lights using dominantly visible violet light to induce fluorescence in photoluminescent materials
A warning light having light sources for emitting light of different colors via at least a lens, where one of the colors is violet and other of the colors is non-violet along a spectrum of visible illumination. A controller selectably activates the light source(s) emitting non-violet light to provide visible warning signals, and the light source(s) emitting violet light to provide fluorescent inducing signals dominantly along the spectrum of visible illumination which causes any object or surface having phosphors to fluoresce in order to enhance their visibility in low or zero ambient light environments. The lens and/or optional filter, or coating along the lens, filters or blocks ultraviolet light to shift the peak wavelength of violet light source(s) so that fluorescent inducing signals are dominantly or more dominantly of higher wavelengths along the spectrum of visible violet illumination to human eyes. Single and dual warning light housings embodiments are provided.
