Disclosed herein are a fluid sand falling type circulating fluidized bed boiler with a plurality of risers for preventing erosion and corrosion of water tubes and increasing combustion efficiency, and a method of operating the same. The fluid sand falling type circulating fluidized bed boiler with a plurality of risers includes a boiler section into which fuel and oxidizer are injected, a riser section connected to the boiler section so that the fuel and fluid sand supplied from the boiler section are introduced from the bottom of the riser section and flow up, and a relay section provided on the boiler section to supply the fluid sand having passed through the riser section to the boiler section, wherein the fuel is injected from the top of the boiler section and burned while flowing down therein.
THERMAL DECOMPOSITION IN CHEMICAL LOOPING COMBUSTION
A method is presented of thermal decomposition to crack ethane and/or higher alkane hydrocarbon feed or the mixture of any of these hydrocarbons to break down into component elements or simpler constituents using heat from a hot metal agent from a chemical looping combustion process.
Macroporous oxygen carrier solid with an oxide ceramic matrix, method for the preparation thereof, and use thereof for a chemical-looping oxidation-reduction method
The invention relates to an oxygen carrier solid, its preparation and its use in a method of combustion of a hydrocarbon feedstock by active mass chemical-looping oxidation-reduction, i.e. chemical-looping combustion (CLC). The solid, which is in the form of particles, comprises an oxidation-reduction active mass composed of metal oxide(s) dispersed in a ceramic matrix comprising at least one oxide with a melting point higher than 1500° C., such as alumina, and has, initially, a specific macroporous texture. The oxygen carrier solid is prepared from an aqueous suspension containing precursor oxide grains for the ceramic matrix that have a specific size, by a spray-drying technique.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CHEMICAL LOOPING COMBUSTION, HAVING A PARTICLE SEPARATOR PROVIDED WITH AN INCLINED INTAKE DUCT
The present invention relates to a device and a method for chemical looping combustion, for which the end of the intake duct (4) opening out within the chamber of the separator (1) is inclined with respect to a horizontal plane (H).

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SORTING A PARTICULATE STREAM
The invention relates to a device for continuously sorting a particulate stream, comprising: a) a screw conveyor (1) for conveying the particulate stream to a separation device, b) a sieve (7) for separating the particulate stream ac cording to size, characterized in that it further comprises c) a pre-sieve (3) comprising elongated sieve openings formed by fingers extending towards an end portion of the pre-sieve with the tips of the fingers not being connected in that end portion, the pre-sieve (3) being located between the conveyor outlet and the sieve, d) wherein the pre-sieve (3) encloses part of the circumference of the conveyor screw in an axial end portion of the conveyor screw, and e) the radial distance between the conveyor screw (1) and the pre-sieve (3) is less than 10%, preferably less than 5% of the conveyor screw diameter. The pre-sieve allows to separate elongated objects like threads or wires from the particulate stream which would otherwise clog or block subsequent separation devices including the sieve.
Macroporous oxygen carrier solid with a refractory feldspar/feldspathoid, method for the preparation thereof, and use thereof in a chemical-looping oxidation-reduction method
The invention relates to an oxygen carrier solid, its preparation and its use in a method of combustion of a hydrocarbon feedstock by active mass chemical-looping oxidation-reduction, i.e. chemical-looping combustion (CLC). The solid, which is in the form of particles, comprises an oxidation-reduction active mass composed of metal oxide(s) dispersed in a ceramic matrix comprising at least at least one feldspar or feldspathoid with a melting point higher than 1500° C., such as celsian, and has, initially, a specific macroporous texture. The oxygen carrier solid is prepared from a precursor of the ceramic matrix, obtained from a macroporous zeolitic material with zeolite crystals of a specific size, and a precursor of the oxidation-reduction active mass.
Cyclone separator having central cylinder made of non-metal refractory material
A cyclone separator is disclosed. The cyclone separator includes a housing that forms a separation chamber, a central cylinder made of a non-metal refractory material and located inside the housing, and a support structure that supports the central cylinder. The separation chamber is divided by the central cylinder into an outer separation chamber and an inner separation chamber. The separation chamber includes an inlet and an outlet that are in communication with the outer and inner separation chambers, respectively. The support structure comprises a hollowed-out upwardly-arched structure that is connected to an inner wall of the separation chamber by continuous pouring or masonry, with an arch face of the support structure being connected to a lower end of the central cylinder to support the central cylinder. The central cylinder is connected to both the housing and the supporting structure by continuous pouring or masonry.
