20220412553 · 2022-12-29 ·

An apparatus configured to perform a prescribed burn of vegetative ground fuel comprises a movable platform configured to traverse ground that contains the vegetative ground fuel, and a burn chamber disposed on the movable platform. An ignition source is disposed in the burn chamber and configured to ignite vegetative ground fuel within a prescribed burn region of the ground. A containment arrangement is situated relative to the burn chamber and configured to confine burning of the vegetative ground fuel to the prescribed burn region. A discharge apparatus is positioned relative to the burn chamber and configured to expel residual effluent from the burn chamber. An extinguisher system can be included to extinguish residual flames and embers. A smoke filtration system can be included to filter residual effluent expelled from the burn chamber.

Biochar apparatus and process

A biochar apparatus and a related biochar module may have a horizontal table-shaking mechanism and a tapered channel for causing biochar pieces generated in a firebox to fall through openings in the table to a conveyor system below. The table may be configured with replaceable grate panels. A quenching reservoir pan for holding quenching liquid receives a drainage basket at a discharge end of the conveyor system for quenching hot pieces of biochar and allowing easy retrieval of the quenched pieces.

Burn bucket

Embodiments are directed toward a burn bucket. The burn bucket preferably includes a body, a door moveably coupled to the body, and a lifting machine interface coupled to the body. The body preferably defines an inner burn space. The lifting machine interface is preferably configured to receive a portion of a machine that tilts the burn bucket to transition the burn bucket between a closed configuration in which the door is closed and a dumping configuration in which the door is open to facilitate dumping burnt material out of the inner burn space.

The embodiments described relate to an expeditionary solid waste disposal system configured to improve logistics and enable it to be readily deployed. The two-stage gasification/oxidation process takes place in a dual chambered device that resembles and functions as a shipping container. Incinerators or other waste conversion devices are commonly containerized by loading the equipment into a standard or modified shipping container. This apparatus is designed as a waste conversion unit that integrates all of the necessary features required to be an ISO-certified shipping container within its structural design such that the waste conversion system and shipping container are one and the same. With correct set-up by 2 persons aided by forklift the system can be configured and operational in a matter of hours.

COMPACT WASTE COMBUSTION SYSTEM
