METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR HEATING FLUIDS IN PROCESSES RELATED TO REFINING AND PETROCHEMICAL INDUSTRIES USING ROTARY GENERATED THERMAL ENERGY
A method is provided for inputting thermal energy into fluidic medium in a process or processes related to oil refining and/or petrochemical industries by at least one rotary apparatus comprising a casing with at least one inlet and at least one exit, a rotor comprising at least one row of rotor blades arranged over a circumference of a rotor hub mounted onto a rotor shaft, and a stator configured as an assembly of stationary vanes arranged at least upstream of the at least one row of rotor blades. In the method, an amount of thermal energy is imparted to a stream of fluidic medium directed along a flow path formed inside the casing between the inlet and the exit by virtue of a series of energy transformations occurring when said stream of fluidic medium passes through stationary and rotating components of said rotary apparatus, respectively. The method further comprises: integration of said at least one rotary apparatus into a heat-consuming process facility configured as a refining and/or petrochemical facility and further configured to carry out heat-consuming process or processes related to refining of oil and/or producing petrochemicals at temperatures essentially equal to or exceeding 500 degrees Celsius (° C.), and conducting an amount of input energy into the at least one rotary apparatus integrated into the heat-consuming process facility, the input energy comprises electrical energy. A rotary apparatus and related uses are further provided.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR THERMAL EXHAUST GAS PURIFICATION
An apparatus for thermal exhaust gas purification includes at least one thermal reactor to which a raw gas to be purified is supplied and in which the supplied raw gas is thermally purified, and an energy recovery apparatus to which a gas purified in the thermal reactor is supplied via at least one outlet line. For improving the balance of energy, it is proposed that the energy recovery apparatus includes at least one condensation heat exchanger in which the purified gas is cooled down such that condensable substances contained in the purified gas condense, and enthalpies released thereby are transmitted to a heat exchange medium and/or the raw gas upstream of the thermal reactor.
Thermal Oxidization Systems and Methods with Greenhouse Gas Capture
A thermal oxidizer employing an oxidation mixer, an oxidation chamber, a retention chamber and a heat dissipater forming a fluid flow path for thermal oxidation of a waste gas. In operation, the oxidation mixer facilitates a combustible mixture of the waste gas and an oxidant into an combustible waste gas stream, the oxidation chamber facilitates a primary combustion reaction of the combustible waste gas stream into an oxygenated waste gas stream, the retention chamber facilitates a secondary combustion reaction of the oxygenated waste gas stream into oxidized gases and the heat dissipator reduces the temperature of the flow of oxidized gases within the heat dissipator, which is communicated to a greenhouse gas processor that extracts greenhouse gas(es) from the vaporized oxidized gases. The greenhouse gas processor may condensate the greenhouse gas(es), acid neutralize the condensation of the greenhouse gas(es), and capture the acid neutralization of the condensation of the greenhouse gas(es).
INLET ASSEMBLY FOR AN ABATEMENT APPARATUS
An inlet assembly for an abatement apparatus includes an inlet nozzle defining a non-circular inlet aperture coupleable with an inlet conduit providing an effluent gas stream for treatment by the abatement apparatus, at least one outlet aperture and a nozzle bore extending along a longitudinal axis between the non-circular inlet aperture and the outlet aperture for conveying the effluent gas stream from the non-circular inlet aperture to the outlet aperture for delivery to a treatment chamber of the abatement apparatus, the nozzle bore defining an inlet portion extending from the non-circular inlet aperture, a flow-dividing structure positioned downstream of the inlet portion and configured to separate the effluent gas stream into at least a pair of effluent gas streams and an outlet portion extending to the outlet aperture and configured to convey the pair of effluent gas streams to the treatment chamber of the abatement apparatus.

METHOD FOR PURIFYING A RAW GAS STREAM AND PURIFICATION DEVICE
In order to provide a method for the purification of a raw gas stream containing water vapour that is simple and cost-efficient to perform, it is proposed that the method should comprise the following: feeding the raw gas stream to a reforming region in which contaminants in the raw gas stream react chemically with the water vapour in the raw gas stream, as a result of which a reformed raw gas stream is obtained; feeding the reformed raw gas stream and an oxidising agent stream to an oxidation region in which constituent parts of the reformed raw gas stream react chemically with oxidising agent of the oxidising agent stream, as a result of which a clean gas stream is obtained. Moreover, optionally a closed-loop control of the oxygen content is provided. Further, it is optionally provided for the clean gas stream to be fed to a condenser, as a result of which the volumetric flow of the clean gas stream is reduced and/or as a result of which energy can be recovered and used for pre-heating the oxidising agent and for other production processes.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING STEEL USING ROTARY GENERATED THERMAL ENERGY
A method is provided for inputting thermal energy into fluidic medium in a steel manufacturing process by at least one rotary apparatus comprising: a casing with at least one inlet and at least one exit, a rotor comprising at least one row of rotor blades arranged over a circumference of a rotor hub mounted onto a rotor shaft, and a stator configured as an assembly of stationary vanes arranged at least upstream of the at least one row of rotor blades. In the method, an amount of thermal energy is imparted to a stream of fluidic medium directed along a flow path formed inside the casing between the inlet and the exit by virtue of a series of energy transformations occurring when said stream of fluidic medium passes through the stationary vanes and the at least one row of rotor blades, respectively. The method further comprises: integration of said at least one rotary apparatus into a steel production facility configured to carry out steel production processes, such as reacting iron oxide and carbon or production of raw materials, at temperatures essentially equal to or exceeding 500 degrees Celsius (° C.), and conducting an amount of input energy into the at least one rotary apparatus integrated into the heat-consuming process facility, the input energy comprises electrical energy. METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING HIGH-TEMPERATURE MATERIALS USING ROTARY GENERATED THERMAL ENERGY
A method is provided for inputting thermal energy into fluidic medium in a high-temperature material production process by at least one rotary apparatus comprising a casing with at least one inlet and at least one exit, a rotor comprising at least one row of rotor blades arranged over a circumference of a rotor hub mounted onto a rotor shaft, and a stator configured as an assembly of stationary vanes arranged at least upstream of the at least one row of rotor blades. In the method, an amount of thermal energy is imparted to a stream of fluidic medium directed along a flow path formed inside the casing between the inlet and the exit by virtue of a series of energy transformations occurring when said stream of fluidic medium passes through the stationary vanes and the at least one row of rotor blades, respectively. The method further comprises: integration of said at least one rotary apparatus into a high-temperature material production facility configured to carry out high-temperature material production, such as the production of glass, glass wool, carbon fibers, carbon nanotubes, and clay-based materials at temperatures essentially equal to or exceeding 500 degrees Celsius (° C.), and conducting an amount of input energy into the at least one rotary apparatus integrated into the heat-consuming process facility, the input energy comprises electrical energy. METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING CEMENT USING ROTARY GENERATED THERMAL ENERGY
A method is provided for inputting thermal energy into fluidic medium in a cement manufacturing process by at least one rotary apparatus comprising a casing with at least one inlet and at least one exit, a rotor comprising at least one row of rotor blades arranged over a circumference of a rotor hub mounted onto a rotor shaft, and a stator configured as an assembly of stationary vanes arranged at least upstream of the at least one row of rotor blades. In the method, an amount of thermal energy is imparted to a stream of fluidic medium directed along a flow path formed inside the casing between the inlet and the exit by virtue of a series of energy transformations occurring when said stream of fluidic medium passes through the stationary guide vanes and the at least one row of rotor blades, respectively. The method further comprises: integration of said at least one rotary apparatus into a cement production facility configured to carry out cement production processes, such as burning cement clinker or calcination of raw materials, at temperatures essentially equal to or exceeding 500 degrees Celsius (° C.), and conducting an amount of input energy into the at least one rotary apparatus integrated into the heat-consuming process facility, the input energy comprises electrical energy. METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INCINERATION OF SUBSTANCES USING ROTARY GENERATED THERMAL ENERGY
A method for disposal of harmful and/or toxic substances by incineration is provided, the method comprising generation of a heated fluidic medium by at least one rotary apparatus comprising: a casing with at least one inlet and at least one exit, a rotor comprising at least one row of rotor blades arranged over a circumference of a rotor hub mounted onto a rotor shaft, and a stator configured as an assembly of stationary vanes arranged at least upstream of the at least one row of rotor blades. In the method, an amount of thermal energy is imparted to a stream of fluidic medium directed along a flow path formed inside the casing between the inlet and the exit by virtue of a series of energy transformations occurring when said stream of fluidic medium passes through the stationary guide vanes and the at least one row of rotor blades, respectively. The method further comprises: integration of said at least one rotary apparatus into an incineration process facility configured as an incineration facility and further configured to carry out incineration process or processes related to disposal of harmful and/or toxic substances by incineration at temperatures essentially equal to or exceeding 500 degrees Celsius (° C.), and conducting an amount of input energy into the at least one rotary apparatus integrated into the incineration process facility, the input energy comprises electrical energy. A rotary apparatus and related uses are further provided.
