SMOKE REMOVAL DEVICE

A smoke removal device includes a connecting tube, a burner, and a plurality of heat storage meshes. The connecting tube has an inlet end and an outlet end. The burner is disposed in the connecting tube and has a flame outlet. The heat storage meshes are sequentially disposed between the flame outlet and the outlet end. The heat storage meshes includes a first heat storage mesh and a second heat storage mesh. The first heat storage mesh is located between the second heat storage mesh and the flame outlet. A mesh-number of per unit area of the first heat storage mesh is larger than that of the second heat storage mesh. The first heat storage mesh and the second heat storage mesh could slow down a flow rate of flame to increase temperatures of the heat storage meshes. The smoke is burned off once touching the heat storage meshes.

A radiant burner for treating an effluent gas stream from a manufacturing processing tool includes: a porous sleeve at least partially defining a treatment chamber and through which treatment materials pass for introduction into the treatment chamber; and an electrical energy device coupled with the porous sleeve and operable to provide electrical energy to heat the porous sleeve which heats the treatment materials as they pass through the porous sleeve into the treatment chamber. In this way, electrical energy, rather than combustion, is used to raise the temperature within the treatment chamber in order to treat the effluent gas stream.

Exhaust gas heating apparatus

A heating apparatus and method for use in an exhaust gas system is provided that includes a container body defining an exhaust gas pathway, a heater flange component attached to an exterior of the container body, and a heater assembly disposed in the exhaust gas pathway and secured to the heater flange component. The heater assembly includes at least one heater element, a bracket assembly that secures the at least one heater element in the container body, and a conformal bracket for securing the at least one heater element to the bracket assembly.

Cracking furnace

The invention relates to a cracking furnace containing a tubular vertical chamber which comprises an inlet for introducing a gas to be treated and an outlet for removing said gas from the chamber, means for heating said gas which include a heating tube extending vertically inside the chamber and coaxial with the chamber, the heating tube being shaped in such a way as to have a closed lower end and being arranged in such a way that the lower end thereof is arranged in the chamber and such that the upper end thereof is connected to a burner of the heating means arranged outside the chamber. The invention also relates to an assembly comprising such a cracking furnace and a device for thermal treatment of biomass and/or waste, an outlet of which is connected to the inlet of said cracking furnace.

Abatement apparatus

The abatement apparatus includes a porous element at least partially defining a treatment chamber and through which treatment materials pass for introduction into the treatment chamber for treatment of an effluent gas stream; and an infra-red heating device operable to emit infra-red energy to heat the porous element which heats the treatment materials as they pass through the porous element into the treatment chamber. In this way, infra-red energy, rather than combustion, can be used to raise the temperature within the treatment chamber in order to treat the effluent gas stream. This allows the apparatus to be used in environments where no fuel gas exists or where the provision of fuel gas is considered undesirable. Also, heating the treatment materials as they pass through the porous sleeve, rather than simply using radiant heat to heat the treatment chamber enables significantly more energy to be imparted into the treatment materials.

A cylindrical heating unit of an exhaust gas processing device is installed in a reactor. The cylindrical heating unit is provided with an exhaust gas introduction port provided in an insertion base part and a heated exhaust gas outlet provided at insertion end. The cylindrical heating unit includes a hollow cylinder, insulators, electric heaters, and holding members. The hollow cylinder has a double structure with an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder made of metal. A plurality of the insulators surround the inner cylinder and are provided at intervals from each other in a heater installation space between the inner cylinder and the outer cylinder. Electric heaters are mounted to the insulators. The holding members are attached to one of the inner cylinder and the outer cylinder or both and hold the insulators in the heater installation space.

THERMAL OXIDIZATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS

A thermal oxidizer (50) employing an oxidation mixer (51), an oxidation chamber (52), a retention chamber (53) and a heat dissipater (54) forming a fluid flow path for thermal oxidation of a waste gas. In operation, the oxidation mixer (51) facilitates a combustible mixture of the waste gas and an oxidant into an combustible waste gas stream. A heating element (55) of the oxidation chamber (52) facilitates a primary combustion reaction of the combustible waste gas stream into an oxygenated waste gas stream. The retention chamber (53) facilitates a secondary combustion reaction of the oxygenated waste gas stream into oxidized gases. The heat dissipater (54) atmospherically vents of the oxidized gases. An oxidization controller (61) may be employed to regulate the operation of the thermal oxidizer (50), and a data logger (63) and a data reporter (65) may be employed for respectively logging and remotely reporting a regulation of the thermal oxidizer (50) by the oxidation controller (61).

Method and facility for incinerating, melting and vitrifying organic and metal waste

The method according to the invention enables a facility having a rather reduced dimension, for incinerating to be used, melting and vitrifying mixed waste (30) introduced into a reactor (10), by means of a basket (18) in turn passing through an air lock (12). Plasma torches (14) burn all waste (30) contained in the basket (18). The waste is then lowered in a melting bath of a furnace (20) with an inductor (24) including a crucible-forming container (23). A combustion gas treatment train completes the facility. The furnace (20) can be dismantled, after a series of treatments of several baskets (18) of waste (30) for disassembling the crucible-forming container (23) from the furnace (20). Application in treating different radiologically contaminated and/or toxic mixed waste.
